Could you please clarify?

Sorry guys I have work 2day, great,

I did set up everything in front room just incase I woke up last night to race the gt3,
Sadly I did Wake up a around 4am uk time,
Just as racing had finished,
Damn I was disappointed and not being sarcastic,

That sinking feeling when you've woke up too late hahaha.

Hey Guys, yep another DP for me. At this time, I want to bid farewell to 90 minute races and races with full damage like last night. Nothing against those things, but for me, it just doesn’t fit. I know it gives a little more realism to the game, but when I get major damage on the first couple of laps, the rest of the night is just slamming out laps alone till the next wreck.
This is nothing against the league or the guys in it. It’s about my inconsistent driving skills and I don’t want my frustration to interfere with what is a well run room.

Mike, too bad you left. Just after the caution I spun in front of colts. He knocked me on my roof, oh and yes I had a reset button programmed, just couldn't remember which one. Mama bear saw the after math, and said what happened to your car? Of course I told her colts hit me, but neglected to tell her it was my fault. She had gone to the garage to get me a philips screwdriver. My wheel had come loose and I was feverishly working to tighten it while racing.
Colts had waited for me in the pits so the 3 of us might have had some close racing for a bit.
Anyhow even tho I had mechanical damage both on my car and real breakdown on my wheel...
I endeavored to persevere and finished the race in 9th.

What a calamity.

Great race @Alex ONeill and @bigtimedave !! That was a blast. Forgot to post the live feed, but here's the replay.

Great race @sgohsixthree and @Alex ONeill , I had a great time even though I was in the "Slow a:censored: Bentley":nervous:, but I accomplished what I set out to do and that was to finish the race without incidents, I do believe my boost was set to 100% but my air restrictor was set at 40.60 instead of 42.10, not sure why?:banghead: Noob mistake.

Hazard you complain way too much. They made a great game but people want more. You dominated, but complained... You picked a hard car to drive and dominated in it. But because it didnt grip the way you want it, SMS is the problem?

David we told you to go on ahead and fix your car, you didnt, thats your fault, we started.

BTW, my apologies for bailing out during the early part of the 90 minute race session, this after a good time spent before during practice.
To begin with there was some confusion about the start whether it was going to be a rolling start as usual or off you go grid start, at least to me. I think it caught some others off guard also as it wasn't stated or reminded of prior to race. So off some went like a rocket and others left with their tongues out....and then there was consideration of restarting or not. In the melee of confusion someone bumped me in the behind resulting in would you believe 100% damage. Happened to some others also and then we were advised to go in the pits for repairs, that the group on track would slow down and wait in rolling formation for pitters to rejoin at the back with the expectation the race would have then continued....at least so I thought.

But the next thing I knew, after leaving the pits and indicating such, is before I could reach the back enders the group sped off "GREEN GREEN GREEN" a good half way up or so the entire track length ahead of me and I was like the Lone Ranger with no hope to catch up. I really tried to persevere nonetheless, not one liking to quit, but after a while it really made no sense to me then to have to bear through the major part of 90 minutes. The thing is too currently with y'all in time saving zone period I'm a whole one hour ahead of y'all which takes race finish close to midnight for me and there's work in the morning with sleep to consider after winding down. This was exacerbated more so with last night's exceptional later start. So to save some sanity, long and short of it I decided it was best for me to bail.

So my apologies again. When the time saving thingy rectifies again and y'all are able to regularise your clocks in sync with mine it should be much of a problem then. Thankfully that is not too long again...the end of the second week of March I think. It should be all good then.

EDIT: Colts said: "David we told you to go on ahead and fix your car, you didnt, thats your fault, we started."

You're wrong Colts. I did go to the pits as advised. Read my comment above.

The start was confusing. Hazard had me thinking it was a whatever lap before we started. Smicinis mentioned it too..

Real talk tho, Pots is your mom ok?

This was literally all you this time david, you were told to go around and didnt, thats your own fault.

WE did 2 laps... but after we got to 2, hazard wasnt waiting for your mistakes.
Im sorry that sounds nasty but thats literally what happened.

Thanks for your concern Colts mate.

Sorry I couldn't make it last night Alex n Hazard.

It was a long night. My Mom is okay as she got the all clear from the hospital but they said that it could take some time before any symptoms of injury show up.

So basically a small Scion Xa looking car completely blew a Stop Sign at a busy intersection and T-Boned my Mom, as my Mom was doing close to 25-30mph. Also, it was a hit and run, as the other car sped off after my Mom's car spun around :ouch: .

I spent the whole night at the Hospital and at the accident scene knocking on peoples houses to try and see if there was a video and luckily I got something.

Not sure if the resolution will be high enough to see detail, but you will see a Silver Nissan Sentra (Mom's Car) from the bottom/right side of the screen as you see the black car go into her.

Honestly, this could have been ALOT worse so we're counting our blessings.

The full video couldn't up-load as it was too high in resolution and downscaling it made it look like doo doo, so I converted it into a 6 second .gif file :).

Edit: If only I knew of a editing program that can zoom into that license plate, but that's much harder to do then they portray on television..

Also, Colts we really need to get you to not double post bro.. I did it once on here and I got 9 violation points so watch out. I don't know about you, but, I wouldn't ever want to get kicked out of GTP.

David we told you to go on ahead and fix your car, you didnt, thats your fault, we started.

Alright, you stated quite a bit here in just a few short sentences, so lets unpack some of this. Yes, I agree fully that SMS studios made a great game. I have always enjoyed the PCars series, if I didn't I would not be playing it currently. However, that doesn't mean I can not critique the game as it currently stands. From my observations there are two camps. People who love the game so much that they will bash anyone who critiques it or SMS studios, and those who enjoy the game but will point out flaws that should be/have been addressed by SMS. If you land in the camp that will critique the game's flaws you take a bunch of flak from hardcore fans. I obviously fall in the camp who enjoys the game but will point out its issues.

Now, the issues that I am advancing have to do the Mercedes AMG GT3 as it stands in game, and only this. I am not attacking SMS or claiming that they are the main problem. I would leave my issues with SMS's buisness model of PCars 2 for a separate post, as it is not related to my complaints from last night in the slightest. Before I begin to point out my issues with the Mercedes AMG GT3, lets define how much development and practice I have put into this car already:

Development Laps (RACE LAPS NOT INCLUDED)

Round 1 Zolder: +50 Laps
Round 2 Monza: +250 Laps
SRM Enduro COTA: +40 Laps
Round 3 Brands Hatch: +100 Laps
SRM Enduro Bathurst: +80 Laps
Round 4 Silver Stone: +80 Laps

Just in development time I have turned over +600 Laps! Thus, based on all this testing and tuning at various tracks I have been able to identify the biggest issue, "for me", with this car. The main issue with the Mercedes AMG GT3 is rear-end grip, regardless of Hard or Soft compounds. The car's fundamental balance is to understeer corner entry/mid, and then snap oversteer on exit. The snap oversteer is generated due to the amount of steering lock required to overcome the corner entry understeer. Thus, when the back end finally catches up with the front it snaps around.

In order to address this fundamental issue I have tried just about everything under the sun from aero balance, spring rate balance, sway bar balance, toe adjustment, and damper adjustments. No matter what you do to try and eliminate this behavior you end up either making it worse or just delaying it for when your tires drop to 90-95% wear remaining. In high speed stuff this becomes tricky cause once you load up the rear and begin to apply throttle around the rear-end comes. The only way to deal with this fundamental balance issue is to change your driving style. I don't blame SMS for this, if this is what they intended, then fine, this just isn't a car to my liking in the confines of their physics engine. If this is not what SMS intended then it was an oversight, and they should have addressed it last year in one of their patches.

In conclusion, this makes the car a nightmare to drive over a race, that is all I was pointing out last night. Yes, I was quick in the car, Yes, I won, but that doesn't mean I enjoyed my 90 minutes of driving on a knifes edge and being hyper in tune with every step-out of the rear end.

*Note - I have tested this car in Assetto Corsa and did not observe the same issues.

Yes, the car is the fastest in the GT3 line up. Yes, this is why I picked it. Yes, the car is a qualifying queen. No, I didn't know when I picked it it would be this difficult to driver over a race (my fault for not testing enough before submitting my pick). So, do I complain to much? perhaps, that is one's own opinion, but at least know my complaints are data based / driven.

*Also, just because someone is fast doesn't mean they are not allowed to critique and point out issues.

You took the bait. I hate everything, there is a few problems with the game here and there, but I was just f'n with you complaining about things while your in first place ;)

Shout out to sgeti and stance though damn.
Sgeti mentioned he wasnt catching me while i was blue flagging it, but eventually i had to just go wide and let them go nuts, and nuts they went. Thats the race we all want to be in <3 Good job ladies
