Soooo......what's happening this Thursday? Is it an off night or not?
If it's a race night, what are the details?

....Tick tock tick tock.....

This week is the off week. We have no formal series events planned for this Thursday.

Usually @Alex ONeill will run some fun races on the off week. I will let him chime in if he is planning on doing so.

I would do lap after lap after lap with no bump stops. THEN go ahead and run lap after lap after lap with bump stops and see if the car feels any different. I myself rarely mess with bump stops. Good Hunting.
That's just it, I feel nothing, with or without them, I just notice a lot of the fast set-up guys seem to go without, right @Alex ONeill ?

Just throwing this out there for this Thursday... How'about Vintage LeMans, could even do a multi-class thing. Fast guys in the GTO's and the Cones in the vintage Group 6 (or GT) cars... Really dig the look and feel of that track - and just don't run it enough. Anyway, just an idea, @yogi bear ;)

You'll want to talk to @Mike Lobban , they do something similar on Mondays.

You don't buy nothin', you don't got nothin'. ;)

In all seriousness. that is a bit ridiculous - do you live in a
socialist
country? Duties and taxes would make it double? WTF!

You need to move to Oklahoma my man, we still complain about taxes and what not, but it's about 12% total (state and local, municipality). Texas would be even better! Btw, tax would be ~$120 + shipping...

I live in the Caribbean....furthest south of Caribbean to boot...longer distance. So yeah, shipping and import duties, taxes etc would be much more for me. Almost double original price. And based on the weight too. That package may be pretty heavy = More shipping cost.

USA to USA would have been significantly cheaper.

Pretty cool!... do you have in car camera or you control by watching the car?

Nah, you stand on a driver's stand on one side of the track. People have tried the first person driving, similar to doing FPV in quad-copters, but there's too much camera shake - there's not enough image stabilization to make it doable. Especially for racing with other vehicles on a track.

@Alex ONeill will let you know if he has anything planned. I know he is extremely busy right now, that is why getting the points updated for the last two races has been delayed.

No biggie, and apologize if it seemed like I was being impatient. Just like to get a little practice in as I (still) haven't played very much of this game, and don't want to look too much like an A$$hat. I suggested that vintage LeMans stuff, so I tried the 917 last night and there was a whole lot of A$$hattery goin' on.:lol::lol:

No need to apologize @barryf1fan, I didn't take it that way. I try to respond to these kinds of inquiries when I can, especially when I know @Alex ONeill doesn't have the time.

Secondly, I like the vintage LeMans stuff a ton as well. This is why I am driving in SRM's vintage LeMans Enduro series. You should hit up @sgohsixthree on SRM's thread and sign up as a reserve to regular driver for that event if you can make the dates. The next race for that series is 4/23/19.

Thanks @HazardLvL4 , I'll look into it - not sure @sgohsixthree would want to take on a n00b. . . Running on Thursday with you guys has got me into the SIM thing (my wife doesn't thank you, btw!) and now I spend quite a bit of time practicing. I'd almost be ashamed to tell you all how much I practiced for that GT3 race at Mugello (or any of the Devil Ferrari races), but if it was less than 200 laps I'd be lying. When I would play this game, ran the Ai on 45%, and Aggression on 50% just to make it "fun" and so I could win.

When I started playing with you crazy SOB's I started ramping the difficulty up, almost every time I played, and now I'm on 100% with Aggression at 80%. Talk about a challenge!! I WAS NOT used to that when I played PC2! I was used to being on pole by a mile, winning the race even if I went off track - but I didn't care, wasn't really racing "anyone". Well, now I am and have definitely improved with still a long way to go, but it has definitely made this game more fun. I'm now saving up for an RSeat, either S1 or N1, although I like the price of the RS1 I just like the design of the other two a little better and they're not that much more. That's why I shared a pic of my diy Ricmotech, which is great by the way - but it just "feels" homemade, and I was hoping that others would maybe share what they had. It's a lot of money to drop on something you can't try first...

Anyway, I will be doing my certification for the software I use here at work that week, will be gone the 22nd-24th. :( So I'll miss the 2nd race in whichever series we do next. If smcinnis would have me in that series I would love to do that vintage stuff, though.

How about the 917/10 can am Porsche at historic lemans. It's the fastest car at that track. It'll mop the floor with any car. And I mean anycar!..even the new sh.t.
