Hey guys and Girls, excuse time.
I feel bad dropping out of the race(s), but for good reason. Like I told McInnes the other night, 90 minute races are too long for me and with damage on, I’m guaranteed to wreck and end up driving laps by myself. I also don’t practice, which usually contributes to my wrecking. This is in no way a slight to the guys or the league, but me getting frustrated is just a recipe for quitting half way through the race. I would rather not start than quit.

I feel your pain Mike. 90 mins is awfully long for me too...Excruciatingly long. And that devil rain didn't help much with the patience either. I was so damn glad when that was over. Was actually wondering at the end if I should partake in another one. I know some guys like these long ass races but not me. Badman doe have the patience. Always beats me why league races have to be so long.

The 45 min races I could more live with....or endure. That's long enough IMO.
I persevere the 45 min x2 (= 90mins)...and that's just because I don't want to bail out for the other 45 min. But to be honest I'd much prefer one 45 min race.

Yeah, I don't practice for any of the leagues I'm in mike.

I guess I may be in the minority here, but I dig the 90 minute races - and not just last night because @SGETI and @ONESPACE gifted me the race (and I watched some of your replay @HazardLvL4 , Woo!! that car was a handful!!), but I just enjoy the length of the race. Feels like I'm doing something. I like the 45 min races too, just enjoy the 90 ones more (I really enjoyed the 90 min one we did at the Glen - too much fun!!)

Also, like the change up with the full damage for the GT3 series... I've actually done better, been more cautious and staying away from people, in the race last night vs the 45x2 series races. I was more cognitive of braking earlier and giving people room last night than I've "probably" been in the other races... not an excuse, just my pea brain at work. There was a moment last night where Onespace went slightly off track through Arrabbiata 8-9 and was coming back on (safely, btw) and I checked up because I wasn't 100% sure which line he was going to go back to, but Hazard and I were closing fast - we caught him into turn 9, and I backed way off just screaming in my head..

I gave Hazard a pucker moment, but at least I didn't punt Onespace into the next series!!

Anyway, appreciate you guys letting me join in your fun - enjoying it a ton, no matter where I finish. 👍 (And finally, for the love of Pete, got my pit strategy right!! )

You get two scoops for your win last night. It pays off, to patient and consistent. Good win man.

Ditto. Barry did well. He was on fire. Think he was in 4th for a while and next thing I know is when I check back the boy was in the lead and never looked back nah. Told you I was taking note and you were coming along very well bro. Cheers.

A bit of redemption on my 3rd place podium finish, I'm sure had

Im all sorts of f..king pissed off come to find out the reason why I lose internet last night was cause my roommate hit the wifi button on his laptop and. He thought the internet was down.... 👎:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Hey @Alex ONeill , I would kinda like to know where I finished in the devils Ferrari - this is still new and kinda exciting to me. I know that I didn't do that great but ran the whole season. If'n you don't wanna do it that's cool too.

Soooo.....what's the status for next Thursday 11th April? Is that the race day break or what?

It would be nice for a change to see the oval track/s, Daytona International Speedway, INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY, TEXAS MOTOR SPEEDWAY in some of the series though. Not with Formula cars though but Nascar cars or whatever GT series cars.
Can't recall we ever racing on that track, at least since I joined.

This is @davidt33 at the beginning of the OVAL he suggested....

Id like to use the Gt1's and maybe use @sgohsixthree Vintage LeMans Enduro Series format?

You seemed to be intrigued by that format @HazardLvL4 , get some teams going like @Alex ONeill and the weatherman used too!

Let's see how that format pans out once that event is over. There are many things that make sense in my head, but in practice leave a bit to be desired (*cough* Wild Rally *cough*).

Wouldn't mind attempting V8s... I'm all for GT1 though!!

Noob question: do I need my bump stops? I'm using the BMW Z4 GT3 at Leguna Seca and I've seen set-up's without them and are they just added weight? I'll hang-up and listen for my answer, thanks.

While we wait for Mugello results (TikTock, TikTock!):D

Watch the real GT3 enduro that happened there last weekend.

Sometimes you need them and sometimes you don't. I am sure you understand, any B.O.B would.

P.S. I usually turn the bump stops to 0, then start tuning. If I notice my car is bottoming out over bumps, I will try bum stops to eliminate.

If I can get away with it, then I never use bump stops. I have found very few instances where cars bottom out in this game that would require them.

I would do lap after lap after lap with no bump stops. THEN go ahead and run lap after lap after lap with bump stops and see if the car feels any different. I myself rarely mess with bump stops. Good Hunting.
