Alexandro, what's the combo for this Thursday 27 December again?
I know the current series is on hold but just wondering if you determined anything yet. Serious racers want to plan.

Crap. I just realized last night that I don't even have PC2 installed on my PS4 anymore. *sigh*. Gonna go see if there's enough space for it.
 
Wait... have I ever raced PC2 with any of you guys? I can’t find the disc and there’s no evidence of any online saved data either. I don’t think I even own the game. Hahahaha!!!

Hi @Alex ONeill . Quick question. When you say "No fuel" does this mean we don't have to work out how much fuel to put in for the amount of time or laps per race? Is perhaps the fuel pre-determined at Default or set by Host?
Would be great if we don't have to work that out for all the races there but just want to double-check before wasting time trying to work out. Not the best mathematically inclined either.

What time,it’s been a while and my memory ain’t what it used to be.
 
One more question. Say if one does some tune adjustments (eg: Radiator, Fuel/Laps, Tyres or whatever) will the personal tune settings hold in-game for the night or would they be over-ridden by Default settings?

No one ever mentioned default set ups. Tune whatever you want. You can run with 100l of fuel if you want to!!!

Thanks Alex. On another note if someone could assist on this I'd appreciate. Hopefully one or two may have Fanatec CSL Elite Wheel and pedal. Just posted this elsewhere on a CSL Elite thread but posting it here too in case anybody might know. Here's what I posted:

Seems like the potentiometer needs cleaning.

Just today I noticed the brake was sticking (as indicated in HUD by the red semi-circular indicator engaged without pressing brake).
I'd like to get to spray some contact cleaner in the potentiometer to clean and unstick it but how the hell do I get to it to do so?
I could see the top of the potentiometer from watching down just below the pedal/s and am seeing an indentation but I don't think there's actually a hole there to which to spray the contact cleaner through. The potentiometer hole is most likely on the underside and that has a cover over it.

I've search high and low including Youtube but it's like searching through a needle in a haystack with little or no results for it.
Only thing I've seen on Youtube was from some French speaking guy and that was no help really as either it didn't quite relate for cleaning plus the foreign language just doesn't cut it.

Anyone can point to a Youtube tut on it (English please if possible), or otherwise describe how to get to it and do it?
Please help, I'm trying to practice for some races tomorrow and continuing.

I don't use brakes with Potentiometers yet but, I definitely would not do anything without first reading the proper information first. There's no telling what some chemicals may do to something like that so, I'd make sure to read up first.. I know from hearing others over the years that they're constantly cleaning them things but, I'd make sure first. There's got to be more information, you must not be looking in the right places mate.

On another note, does anybody want to run some practice races for tomorrow night's races - tonight for this?

Oh and by the way Alex, for the Indy Race can we use the Honda Indy Car as well as the Chevy Car? The reason why I ask is because, there appears to be a typo at the bottom for it.

I don’t know about fixing the one you’ve got,but I got the LC upgrade with mine and have the original brake pedal if you are interested.

I think all or nearly all brake pedals have potentiometers Pots. It's a little metal cylindrical barrel that connects to the brake that gives control feedback. They do get some muck inside during use which causes sticking and electrical contact cleaner spray is what is recommended for cleaning them.
As for practice later tonight I wouldn't mind once I can get mines cleaned. Depends on time too once it's not too late.

David which Pedals are you using?

I was always under the impression that either high end brake pedals or add-on replacement/upgradeable pedals were the only ones that use a Potentiometer. These pedals use the potentiometer because, they are replicating a race car's brake pedals without ABS. This type of brake mechanisim tries to immitate a pressure motion (like in real life) rather then the lever motion that my G-27 uses which is not realistic as we don't use a lever motion for our brakes in real life, as it's a pedal that is used via pressure.

This is why I'm confused, as I thought these pressure sensing brakes are able to give us the sense of using a real pressure based pedal by way of these potentiometers.

I have the Fanatec CSL Elite pedals that came with the wheel Pots. Both pedals gas and brake has potentiometers. Even the Logitech G29 I had before has potentiometers.

BTW, I got the brakes sorted out. It just needed cleaning with the electrical contact cleaner spray as I thought. Was much easier to access in the Fanatec pedal than I thought. Next time it will just take seconds to clean.
