Hello fellow race fanatics.

I have purchased a Playseat Evolution from marktplaats (ebay) and after putting it together I have the following problem. The plate on which the wheel is mounted still moves, even though the screw is tightened strongly. The space it moves is about 2 centimeter.

This makes racing impossible. Does anyone have a solution for my problem? Or can give advice?

To further clarify what is happening here's a video:

hi,
just watched the vid. couldn't see the fixing, is it a nut and bolt? is the bolt partly threaded? if so could require a washer to pack out, thread may not be long enough. only a guess. cheers

Hmmm... looks weird... I can see how that would be irritating while racing... I have an older playseat so I cannot help :( I hope you find out what the problem is soon! Good Luck!

Thanks for the replies lads.

I've called Playseat.nl and they told me I am missing 2 rings. I'm going to buy them at Praxis tonight. Hopefully this will fix it. *PRAY*
If it doesn't it's going to be a problem, since Playseat told me they no longer offer this model (Playseat Evolution, silver frame)

I've bought the seat from an individual on Ebay, not a company. He's a good lad it seems (met him when I picked up the seat). He's also been swifty replying my emails without bull****ting.

They said they no longer offer this model?? If your talking about the Playseat Evo Black seat with silver frame, you can buy that off their official website still, as well as Amazon(which is where I ordered mine and waiting on)

I know ...! That's also what I told them, but they said they only sell these models, and no new ones of this old model are made. Pretty weird huh?

I have now installed the wheel with the needed parts. It seems okay for now. But what happens when I install the heavy G25 wheel and do some heavy drifting. Will it hold?
Im gonna try tonight.

Might help if still slips :D

Hehe. Yeah I saw those in the shop too, but I bought the ones without an opening. Also, only 1 ring fits in between without using excessive force. I first placed it on the left side, and it still slipped. Now I placed it on the right side. Looks okay, but gonna test it when I get home.

Btw. what absolute tool come up with a design where a part that does not need to move at all is held into place by a construction based on force to keep it in place.

I hear they fixed it in the latest version of the playseats (with the black frame).

Does anywhere here happen to have the exact same model as I have? (Playseat Evolution Black, grey metal frame)

My playseat evolution is white with grey metallic frame-no issues:tup:

I read that the Classic had that problem but was fixed with evolution model:scared:

I hope your fix works out for you:)

I did have the same Playseat as you (Black seat with silver frame) until I sold it late last year on Ebay and bought a VR3. Anyway, mine did exactly the same as yours from time to time and all I did was to tighten the allen key which is just under that bit that moves! That fixed it for a while until it worked loose and had to be tightened again!

I spoke to Playseats in Holland when I bought mine and they sent me a small metal (silver) part that was supposed to fix it. However, they never sent fitting instructions so I never fitted it in the end and ended up giving it to the guy when I sold my seat...

It's worth speaking to them again as they knew what the problem was when I spoke to them and offered the fix I just mentioned...

Good luck 👍

Interesting :) I guess we spoke to the same club, as Im also Dutch. What did the part look like? Could you please google a photo for me?

After installing the ring and doing some racing last night, the construction held together. Of course Im not too sure how long it will stay, but for the moment it works.

Wrong literature my friend ;)

Ok I literally received my Black with silver frame Evo only days ago. The model has been changed. The plate on mine that you put the wheel on, is welded onto the tube as opposed to being adjustable. The Playseat Evo box it came in even shows the model with the adjustable part, making 4 different places you can adjust. Mine has 3, the two knobs on bottom, the one running up "steering column", and thats it. Part your messing with on video is not there, its all welded up.

Hi, I am new to the forum.

I have the same problem as Calcifier12 as well. Are there any updates on how to solve this issue. Thanks alot

Not familiar with these race seats so bare with me, but if the problem is a threaded bolt or fastener, try some loc-tite. Otherwise I am misunderstanding the issue and disregard.

Thanks for your reply....I actually manage to put a stick underneath to support the base of the wheel plate. (Don't know how to upload pictures to show) That will hold for a while for now.
