True. It just makes me laugh when I see these "So-and-so won!!!" posts.I'm sure most real gamers would love to do that but most of us don't have nearly £800 going spare.
I feel the conference was half assed on the game side and I think they felt as if they didn't have to say much about them. Basically, all Sony had to say is that there was no DRM. It was quite boring.
That's why I'm thinking of opting out of consoles for a while. I'm tired of having to pay to interact with my friends. Its really a no win though. You pay with multiplayer on MS as well and isn't XBL now the same price as PS+? Makes it a wash.
Which is up less than $1 a month if you average out the costs from PS+ for PS3. Might as well just renew and buy extra.
If Microsoft is going to be the only one of the three do be doing this stuff...
That's a scary place to be.

How much is it for new plus then? I thought I saw $5 a month. Is that right?
Edit I guess it is.
So the only negative is that I now have to pay $5 a month to play online?
Sold.
Seriously. "No DRM" media/social media ****storm.
So I take it that $5 a month. That is just over £3 a month.
In other terms that is a return bus ticket for a 3 mile journey which I do every day.
I'm buying both.
I win.

Or a pint of beer.
I will hardly notice it.
It'll end up at the same price as XBL Gold, basically. Which is fine by me.
That's pretty cheesy from Sony, they get the fanboys going ape but don't mention you have to pay for online now.
The way they've made a point I think MS may back down a lot.
One problem for the US is how can PSN compete with Xbox Live, Sony had their big chance to show off how much more inviting and well designed PSN will be bu they do nothing. Many find it a bleak place.
I hope they have something worth paying for as I think Europe is more forget paying for online attitude but US is more willing to pay.

I was waiting to see more of the interface and the more ways you could interact with the console.

It was meant to show how insignificant the money is rather than complaining.![]()
ahh, well they decreased the price of PS+ at the sacrifice of keeping multiplayer free it seems. should've just kept it $15 and kept online free.
if this is true, they better not require PS+ to use stuff like Netflix though.
The February conference cover enough of those bases I reckon.
I'm sorry, are you inferring that I'm retarded because I can afford both systems? No DRM is no DRM.
You would have to be retarded to keep a massive game library of games at full price. Then again, retarded people do have money, so more power to them. I know I'll be expending my money is something more accessible and simple than the overly restricted, overly tied Xbox One.
I got a 360 first because it was cheaper, then I got a PS3 later when it was also pretty cheap. Looks like I'll be doing it the other way around this time.

Here comes the stupidity.
