Wow, $399. And suddenly, I've gone from "Wait until price drops" to "Pre-order this damn thing the first chance I get".

Sony has just killed Microsoft, no other way to put it.

Microsoft su-ucks! *clap, clap, clap-clap-clap*

So what the hell is Microsoft gonna do now?

They will have to do an about face and cut their prices or something. That's the problem with going first, they got killed because I am going to assume Sony was going to undercut Microsoft regardless.

So what the hell is Microsoft gonna do now?

Their only hope is going to be that either a) they have a strong enough following that people still won't care or b) they launch the subsidised mobile phone contract version that will appeal to people with the lower lump sum.

£350 is exactly what I expected and hoped it would be. Having to pay for online multiplayer is a slight downside, but I'm used to paying for XB Gold as it is, and the incentives for PS+ will be a hell of a lot greater than they are currently.

"Go home."

Sneaky moves there at the end. "We aren't doing the bad Microsoft stuff... Benifitsofps+includeonlinegaming. Ooh! Look at Destiny!"

Great conference tonight. Sony nailed this one.

I feel the conference was half assed on the game side and I think they felt as if they didn't have to say much about them. Basically, all Sony had to say is that there was no DRM. It was quite boring. The price is great though but with paying for multiplayer I'm thinking of just taking all of my money, building a super PC, and purchasing those two consoles later down the road.

How much is it for new plus then? I thought I saw $5 a month. Is that right?

Edit I guess it is.

Its really a no win though. You pay with multiplayer on MS as well and isn't XBL now the same price as PS+? Makes it a wash.

Which is up less than $1 a month if you average out the costs from PS+ for PS3. Might as well just renew and buy extra.
