I was thinking the same thing.

I take it that ds4 video had nothing new in it? I couldnt watch the whole thing, it was horrible reporting.
 
DualShock 4′s Light Bar can't be turned off

One of the minor details about the DualShock 4 that wasn’t covered in our giant PS4 guide is whether or not the PlayStation 4 controller’s Light Bar could be turned off in order to conserve battery life.

So, someone asked Shuhei Yoshida, “Can I turn off the lightbar on the DS4 so the battery lasts longer?” Unfortunately, he responded to this with a simple “no.”

Since this is likely something that isn’t 100% set it stone, it’s possible Sony could change this based on consumer feedback down the road

May or may not be an issue for many/those interested, but an option to turn off the light bar would be nice.
 
I'll buy a second controller anyway, therefore I won't have any battery problems. Did the same with the PS3.

So yeah, no issue for me. But on the other hand, wasn't the light meant to differ between player 1,2,3,etc?
 
Meh, minor issue at most. Won't mean alot to me.
 
You know, they should put the 'switch on console' function as a touch sensitive surface on the glossy part or the PS4. And you can't just switch it on with a touch from a finger, you have to place your whole palm. :sly:

Why other reason would there be for that part to be glossy anyways?

I thought it was nice and casual - can't bear the shouty reports some do :sly: I'm not sure if it's new, but he did report seeing a demo where the internal workings of the controller can emulate things like being partly full of liquid. In this case champage being poured and apparently it is meant to feel like the controler is the bottle and you are pouring from it. Not entirely sure how it's possible to give the impression of weight transfer, though he did say that the controller is able to trick you into thinking this, possibly through vibration modulation.

Yes,different colors for different players.

Re -controllers for the first time I may just buy one controller this time,my brother and I rarely play split screen(games rarely support it anyway) somight just buy another game insstead of a controller
 
the Xbox one is the worst games console I have ever seen, it looks like some VCR box from the 90's, it has a 🤬 name (in fact I'm gonna call it whatever the hell I want and you've got to deal with it.) and is all about taking money from you for stuff that should be free.

They unveiled barely any games at the launch event and the only games that will come out on launch are games that come out every year and are beginning to bore people.

The Kinect is watching you all the time and Microsoft can see everything and hear everything in people's lounges as the Xbox one only works if the Kinect is on.
What annoys me though are the fanboys who would say that anything Microsoft made was good now they are entitle to their opinion of course but I feel they have been brainwashed into thinking that its alright to have Microsoft take money off them for content that they already own.

The Cardboardbox one is not a games console really. All they talked about was T.V and Call of Duty. Now if I want to watch TV on my TV at home, I don't need an Xbox to do it, the TV can do it without the need of anything else so that defeats the point of it and when people brag about how it has a blu-ray player, I just say: "well the PS3 has had that for 7 🤬 years".

This is why the PS4 will be a success as they know how to please their customers rather than con money out of them.

You would be a damn fool to by an Xbox one and if you do then you are responsible for the decline in gaming. If you buy an Xbox one then you are in fact a non gamer. If you are a gamer and support gaming then you should buy a PC OR PS4. 2. If you're going to be taken at least halfway seriously, get some form of concept on how to structure your post so we don't think you're some senseless 9-year-old. That is one whopper of a mess.

Did you see Titanfall?
 
Would be great if Gran Turismo in any form would be on PS4. T10/MS have done it.

If I was forced to play a shooter I'd choose Titanfall over Killzone. A real shame GG didn't go with a new ip, the new gen is perfect time yet we have Killzone 4, a series that has failed to capture most peoples attention. Doesn't get the juices flowing about the new console, a new vision from GG would be interesting to me.

If Occulus rift comes to consoles, the Kinect could be useful and more appealing. We'll have to see how Rift does positonal tracking but the One has the ability to become the best truly next gen experience despite having a lesser GPU.
