Using DRM as a stick to beat MS in comparison to Sony really is not a smart move at all:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sony_BMG_copy_protection_rootkit_scandal

Sony have used DRM is some insanly underhanded ways; as such is would maybe more accuarte to say that MS have just learnt the lesson that Sony did a while ago in regard to DRM.
Is like comparing Apples to Oranges, but fair enough, if keeping a file from being copied is the same as locking the file usage to an online account that has to be online every 24 hours. Not to mention that Sony didn't decide to follow MS's DRM policies when they perfectly could, who am I to keep that discussion?

On topic, PSN's Driveclub seems to be a reduced version of the full retail, there is nothing more known about the game, and since it seems to be have a multiplayer focus. Is hard to tell if the PSN version is a multiplayer only version of the full game, or if it is a stripped version of it.

I suggest you read the rootkit scandal article. It is absolutely not about keeping files from being copied.

Sony's DRM was far worse than anything MS proposed with the Xbone, but if you had read the link that would be quite clear.

It's the full game in terms of features, but without all of the cars and tracks, those you can purchase separately. A number of links have been provide in this thread that confirm just that.

Can we get things back on track please, speaking of which my Driveclub pre-order has now been changed to Watchdogs.

:)

I'm looking at playstation 4 console and i love it all the way, and all it's starting features. But i'm failing to see any game that i could purchase during launch day. I did my youtube research, i watch game plays and WatchDogs seems to be only reasonable choice for person like me who like games Splinter Cell, Syphon Filter, MGS, Last of Us, Tomb Raider, even GTA kind"ish. Adventure, decent story telling.

Infamous SS comes later, MGS 5 too, even GTA 5 is rumored to be on PS4. Sony really kicked my in the balls with no Ridge Racer on PS4

Now what I am failing to see here is a discussion about the PS4?

Better change it to driveclub again.

Edit:Nearly there Dave

Just finalised my PS4 pre order. I will be getting:

-Playstation 4 Console (No extras)
-Need For Speed: Rivals
-Killzone Shadow Fall
-Battlefield 4
-Driveclub

Not too shabby, roll on November!

apparently when the PS4 overheats it gets a red line instead of a blue one. Here is the article. It only overheated because it was in a non ventilated box and as soon as it was opened the console returned to normal. The console also displayed an onscreen warning that it had reached a very high temperature.

The article is a bit misleading from the title as it makes it seem like the PS4 just overheated in normal operation.

Wonder what will happen to those who ordered the Watchdog bundle, will they be getting a discount and a normal PS4?

Watch Dogs had been delayed for PS4 and Xbox One until April 2014 IIRC.

Correction sir! It's coming with PS4 release, there is even a bundle version so, 29th of November i'm pretty sure i will get mine copy with Game Console.

Sorry USSR but you won't be getting Watch Dogs at console release. To correct Philly it has been delayed on all systems.

I was actually going to cancel my fully paid Watch Dogs preorder anyways and move the money to pay off GT6 so no problems on my end with that delay.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo, this is true !!!! How can it be?

My PS4 gaming experience is now ruined :ouch: So now only option is Assassins Creed 4 :grumpy:

That article is garbage and the autor is a really poor and helpless writer. I'm sorry, but he's just another one of those attention wh*** trying to get clicks.

Seriously, how exactly is this a "red line of death" if the console doesn't take any damage from it? Ridiculous, plain ridiculous.

EDIT: Nothing against you, thanks for sharing that information.

What the article shows a rational thinking person is how the system handles alerting the owner to an over heating issue. Facts vs editorializing. Facts win.

About the Watch Dogs delay. I'm sorry, but I why would anyone be excited about that game after GTA V anyway?

Im not seeing much reason to buy a ps4 just yet, I've been going back and forth over the last 2 days on wether to pull the trigger but looking at the games i doubt i will get more use out of it than i do the ps3 right now which is not a lot.

It looks like more fun?

Yeah I said it.
I'm with you, for some reason GTA V doesn't ... doesn't hold up for me, after two weeks with it I was rather tired by it, never picked it up again.

As far as getting PS4 at launch, I probably hold up until either Watch Dogs get released, or until War of Thunder/Planetside 2 get released for the thing.

Neither console has got something for me that keeps my interest (maybe Titanfall, but I got a rig for it), and the launch schedule for anything coming during the last few months is rather ... dry. There is nothing particularly interesting that holds up to a 400 USD investment.

It amazes me you always complain about other games being the same and unoriginal yet you crave another by number Ridge Racer game which hasn't changed since......ever.
