Whats with this obsession of looking at just one similar feature from another game and automatically labeling it a "ripoff"? It kinda seems like people who do this have no actual idea what a "ripoff" is.
 
So I guess digimon is a rip-off pokemon. And now Pokémon rips off Digimon with mega evolutions.

Seriously though, company's use the same perspectives from other companies all the time get over it.

I will have a guess as to why, maybe because everything being last minute, Sony want reviewers to try the system on latest firmware which will likely be only available just before console officially releases.

Also don't take anything wrote by misterxmedia seriously, good for a laugh though.
 
Sony has been doing some questionable things recently, but I've decided to stand fast and keep my PS4 preorder. I will be there November 14th at 11:59pm.

Doesnt really matter how few features the PS4 will have day 1. All I know is that I'll be able to play most 3rd party games with better graphics then the PS3 and its going to have some cool social features like share from day 1. Suspend/resume will be added soon enough as well as Gaikai etc.

But this does suck for reviewers like Sessler. He was already upset about how Bioshock Infinite developers let IGN release their review a week before everyone else. He really doesnt like moves like that from the game industry. Giving PS4s out 2 days before launch for a review is just the latest stunt.

There was an announcement today that the PS4 will not support external Hard Drives.
 
Bad News

- Does not playback MP3s

- Video upload is exclusive to facebook.

Good news

- You can store gameplay videos to your HDD

- You can record your own live stream (not sure if you can record the stream of others)

- Youtube upload hinted at in a future patch
 
No DLNA support/functionality either on PS4, no external HDD, no CD audio. no MP3 ... :( guess I will have to keep my PS3 Slim and buy another PS3 for spare in the future for media streaming and music :)

You won't need them in the future as everything would be in the cloudz. :p I guess there's where they're heading with the PS4.

But, what about my HD movies and music collection on my multi TB external HDD :) or my rare Narada Jazz CD collections ...

Nope. You are not entitled to physically own your collection.
Movies? Netflix.
Music? That Sony Music Unlimited App thing.
Your rare CD collection? You may need to keep a CD player for that one. :)

"Digital distribution is the future!" Or so these large corporations seem to believe. I never got into it though, I buy physical copies of all my PS3 games because I'm old fashioned.
And maybe slightly paranoid. "These corporations want to have you be dependent on them. They want to grab you by the nuts. It's a conspiracy man!" D:

Generally speaking, no. However, at launch, users will be able to use these controllers if a specific game title allows it to be used within the game. This decision is upon the game developer and will vary from game to game.

Sounds like up to the developer and we've heard of T500 support for Drive Club. Hopefully more wheels are supported.
 
Sounds not that promising, also no MP3 ?how are we supposed to upload custom music to games now?
 
Uhhhh apparently the PS4 will not act as a media server! OK that is a rather serious failing for one consumer (i.e. me)
