Will you be buying a digital or hard copy of the game?

If it's not available for pre-order it really seems plausible that it won't be available digital on the 12th. I read someone heard a response about usa ps4 digital being available sometime in the spring.

Be nice if project cars creators would address this and fill people in, considering the support they got during creation from users.

How is that Sony's fault? It's the publisher of the game who has to get the game to Sony to be certified and the master data copy to them for it to be set up for pre-order in the first place. Point your anger toward the publisher Bandai-Namco and SMS for having to deal with those guys. I live in the U.S. and can care less about the pre-order as those cars aren't even special to me, but the M1, F1, Mark IV and C9 are icons...that Benz should be something else worth it DTM car by itself is lonesome perhaps the old 190E DTM car would make more sense than that thing.
The modified car pack is weird as it has a Mugen Atom, sporting a Honda sourced motor, the game sport ZERO hondas...tear came to my eye.

I've been waiting for the digital PS4 version to show itself for a couple of weeks now, today it should have appeared as it's only a week from release of the game stateside. There is later today and Thursday as I have never seen PSN update outside of Tuesday-Friday window.

The digital edition of Project Cars for PS4 does indeed exist. They got it in the UK! It's posted (non-geographic specific) right there on their website:

They better f'n get this sorted for the US/Canada!!! Their WMD forums are 'private', so we can't even look there for answers. They better make a damn press release about this, NOW, if it's genuinely not going to be set-up properly before release!

I don't want to have to switch in and out the disc whenever I wish to play this game... and I don't need the option of selling the bloody used disc dirt cheap once i've gotten bored of it and/or buy a PS5. I will not be FORCED into buying the disc copy 'cause they and Sony can't get their act together. If i MUST buy the digital edition withOUT pre-order, after release, they better offer-up some special free codes for us to get all of the pre-order cars after-the-fact!!!

Without any word from them, thus far... it's just ridiculous!!!

yeah but preload it on sunday to play it at Midnight instead wait for it update and buy it and waiting for it done download in few hours is suck

How is it Sony's fault? I don't know, but the game is available digitally on PlayStation in other countries.

I have no idea who's fault it is, neither Sony or project cars have given any information on it.

yeah no preload to play it at midnight is ridiculous and wait for it finish download and install it after psn store update 2pm is ridiculous too. there is Xbox One live store has preorder digital edition in USA/canada so xbox gamers already preload it so i don't understand why USA psn can't get it

Btw... for all you US/Canadian citizens who bought the UK version of the game... well, I just hope the steering wheel can be put back onto the left-side of the car - it's all backward over there (or is it here?), eh! This could be a real issue, potentially, no?!

Can't tell if you're being serious or not? Lol

I just created a Euro account to download the game, but I used Sweden as my home country. Was this a mistake?...Having trouble finding Swedish psn cards that I can buy here.

Yes it was a mistake. You're in Sweden. Not the UK. Silly Billy

Question for those who preordered the PS4 version online at Amazon or Best Buy in the US. Did you get an email with a redemption code for the addon content? If so I'm considering:

  1. Preorder from Amazon/Best Buy
  2. Get email for 'Modified Car Pack'
  3. Redeem 'Modified Car Pack'
  4. Purchase Day 1 Digital version (assuming it's even made available  )
  5. Return unopened preorder to Amazon/Best Buy
So at the very least we can get the modified pack....

You will get both car packs when you buy the digital version

A digital version does not exist for in the US for PS4. And if the game comes out on release date, then its not considered a preorder, and thus not eligible for any preorder bonuses.

how you feel about no pre-order mean no preload to play at midnight ?

I work in the early morning anyways, so I'm not concerned with playing at midnight, I just want a digital version with the extra content... thats all.

Pre-order doesn't matter. Look here on the official site: http://www.projectcarsgame.com/preorder.html

Available digitally on Steam, PlayStation Store, and Xbox Games Store, the Digital Edition comprises of:
  • The Standard Edition
  • The Limited Edition Car Pack
  • The Modified Car Pack

Still can't pre-order the game on PSN. Will $ony even let us buy the game on PSN in the USA?
