The RACE Rally Series
(Formerly GTP Point to Point Rally Championship)
Season One

Intro

Welcome! You are about to embark on an amazing thrill ride. Before I say anything, this is NOT a rallycross championship, it is an organized Point to Point Rally series. Below will be an outline of the series.
Rules:

1. Racing
a. Start

-All drivers must arrive ready to race at (Specified Time TBA). When the race starts, you will line up at the first sector (Blow-up Sign at Chamonix) in a single-file formation. Then we begin racing.
b. On The "Grid"
-The Lead driver looks at the Total Time, and when the nearest X:00.000 comes, the lead driver goes. The second driver waits 10 seconds then goes, and so on. So for example:
Driver One- 1:00.000
Driver Two- 1:10.000
Driver Three- 1:20.000
Ect.
c. Finish Line
-The finish line is the literal finish line. So point A is sector one (Except for Chamonix) and point B is the finish line. The races are 1 lap for easy timing/scoring.
d. Uphill and Downhill
-There will be two different races per Round, the uphill (Forward), and downhill (Reverse). However based on poll results this could change.

2. General
a. Laggers Welcome!

-If you have lag, you aren't turned down, the drivers are 10 seconds apart, and contact, or passing for that matter, is scarce. That being said, lag shouldn't affect others. So if you have bad internet, welcome! :)
b. Disconnections
-Disconnections, they happen. Because this is mostly time-based, should you disconnect, you and other disconnectors will meet with a series official and run another Point to Point race and your times are merged with the others.
c. Passing
-If you approach a slower car, the slower car will move over. This doesn't mean that the slower car has to park the car, but they must attempt to give the faster car room. A way to make the slowing subtle enough that it doesnt change your time dramatically, you can break early, or take the outside line, ect.
d. Signing up Early Benefiets
-Signing up early gives you a few bonuses:
+Adapt and swap your cars, aswell as see competitor competition.
+Drive the routes before the others in testing.
+Hone your rally skills with the rest.

Okay! Now that you've made it, can I join up?

Ok then:

Driverman447/GTracer98
Latvian - GMT +2
Lancia Delta HF Integrale (if there's a Lancia, I cannot choose anything else!)

If added info is necessary, then:

1 I love rallying;
2 I can help you whenever you ask;
3 Preferred times: Friday, Saturday, Sunday evenings. That is from 6PM until 12PM. (may change, this is an estimation);
4 I also have some nice tracks in my collection so if needed I can give them;
5 My internet is average, some lag happens but usually it's ok.

:)

Nas, you know I'm in on this. And, you indirectly answered a question I had about cars. So, I guess here we go:

rallymorten/rallymorten - Denmark a.k.a. GMT+1 - Peugeot 206 :D

Additional bonus info:

Internet: Wired, good connection every other weekend, wireless crappy connection at any other point :grumpy:
Rally experience: Dude, seriously? People got scared of GTP WRC, tells a bit about how serious I take rallying :sly:
Preferred day and time: Every other Saturday (as in not this Saturday) at almost any time between 18 and 21 (6 pm and 9 pm) GMT.

Like I said, I can help you with timing (it really is an idiot-proof timer) and stages (track generator and figuring out good one's using the in-game ones) in return for using this as a test for the other functions :)

I'll do this depending on the day.
PSN: Mark_DvorakGT
Nationality: Canada -4 UTC (-5 in the winter)
Car: Peugeot 206

Voted for option 4, provided that means dynamic time AND weather for both rounds

Just one small problem: How exactly do you know which of the votes were cast by competitors and which by the odd randomers?

Edit: darn, I should read poll options more closely  disregard that one and turn it into the option that means forward and reverse with complete dynamic changes 👍

We're not the best rally team, but I'm the better of the two of us.
Do you have any idea of the possible regulations? 295/1230?

ProjectWHaT
Also what tracks do you mean by "India" and "America"?

In the case of America, probably Alaska, but I'm not sure. In case of India, a track pretending to be Indian :sly:

 ?

Edit: going online to test 👍

 ?

Devon and I share this GTP account. I used to use Devon' s PSN to do his rally and drift events. I'm making my own account later today and he's lending me his 206 for these events.

Ah, I see now. It's just that the way it was put before didn't seem to make sense at all :)

5.555 posts :D

Thanks :D

I'm in my lounge for about 40 more minutes, there's some good stages being thrown in 👍

America is Leige pertaining to someplace desert-y, although it may become Mexico, and call the round Baja.
India is Toscana Tarmac

Current test specs: 305hp / 1250kg

ProjectWHaT
Toscana is based in Italy.

Yeah, but we're pretending it's in India :)

After tonights DC-fest, I really hope my suggestion can come in consideration :indiff: < because no other emoticon come close to the feel right now

Well, that looks like an interesting lineup of events 👍

There are though some questions now that I think of it:

1: Group A vs. WRC

You do know that the regulations for WRC cars changed greatly prior to 1997, which increased the cars' competitiveness? This may be a small problem.

2: Mitsubishi CZ-3

It really is an odd-ball. I mean, it's not really built to any regulations at all (though me and Ciro agree that it looks like a modern Fiesta WRC ) and I haven't been testing to see how it stands up against the others.

3: Aftermarket turbo upgrades

Except from checking cars prior to the event, which also isn't 100% bulletproof, there's no way to check for it really.

4: Release of the stages

How long in advance will the stages of the next event be revealed?

I know, lots of questions, but the earlier they're solved, the better :)

1-3: The limit (305hp/1250kg) Should keep everything balanced, and turbo is allowed.

4: A single picture of the map will be shown a week in advance, and after testing, driving on tracks prior to raceday is prohibited.

Righty.. But then there will be more than one test at different times? Otherwise it'll be too unnecessarily difficult for those that may not make the test..
