The weekend is over. You've played the game and finished some of the career races and experienced some online races.

What do you think?

I'm really liking what I'm seeing so far. The new lighting dynamic is really nice and I love the physics tweaks, new courses and beautiful looking LMP's. I even like the polish job that the standards have gotten. Yup, I'm grinning ear to ear and can't wait to fill my garage again. I'm really looking forward to the huge forthcoming progression from PD which will round this title out even more. I'm expecting another great ride from Polyphony and fantastic support, just like GT5. :gtplanet:

GT6 feels much better than GT5 which is great. I love physics, damage, cornering... The first 2 hours of game play was great and I can't wait to get the licence to go for online. AI is driving completely different than before in good way. PD should now focus on online aspects to make things perfect. Im loving the game : )

Only things I don't like are the transmission adjustment sliders, too sensative and quick to jump to large intervals, and the online names are not the psn id's. I ended up putting a period (.) for my first name and my psn ID as my last name. They only let you change your name 3 times after intial setup. Liking everything else so far.

I picked "meh". Simply because I enjoy the new cars and tracks. But I don't enjoy the AI and how easy they are. I don't enjoy how little effort and thought was put into Arcade Mode. I should be able to pick up and play the game the way I want to. I just want to be able to do quick sprint races in cars of the same class.

I picked "no", although I'm probably somewhere between that and "meh".

There are a lot of things that makes GT6 the ultimate GT; the physics engine, the graphics engine, the sounds (somewhat, sometimes), the amount of different races, the improvement made to (a lot of) Standards. All of these, and probably some I've forgotten, makes GT6 the best GT there ever was.

But somehow, it still fails to tickle me.
The physics engine, while being a big improvement from GT5, still feels off to me. The weight transfer is still the best of all the console racers (have not played, and probably will not play, Forza 5), but I'm not too sure of the tire model.
For instance; When going through a corner I can feel the weight shift through the wheel, but I can't really sense the traction, and thus have a really hard time judging how fast I can go through corners. Maybe I'm having a problem with my Fanatec PWTS, although the sense of weight and weight shift is impeccable.
The graphics engine can present some stunning looking scenery, but it does come at the price of low fps and screen tearing. Although nowhere near as bad as with GT5.
I also can't get over the feeling that the tuning upgrades are far too few, and that although suspension, brakes and tire choice has a fundamental impact on performance, they do not affect PP.

I really wanted to like this game. So much so that I bought the Aniversary Edition, even though I'd promised myself I wouldn't after my feeling of disappointment with GT5.
Maybe I'll grow to like it, but right now I feel I have to force myself to play just to warrant the expense, and that's never a good feeling.

Ask me in about a year or two. If you'd asked me if I like GT5 when it released, I'd have said no.(BTW, I enjoyed GT5 after the updates)

A few niggles, but very satisfied. I wasn't expecting a whole lot, just an incremental upgrade from GT5, and I'm having a very good time with it. The new tracks are nice, I'm sure the new cars will be too once I get some money to buy them. The body roll while cornering really helps make it more realistic. Graphics and framerate are fine. I'm only about 3 hours into it but it looks like there should be plenty of career mode events to keep me occupied for a good long time.

Biggest gripe is that the AI is way too easy. Needs adjustable difficulty.

A few problems but really pleased. The cars feel much more lively an natural then GT5, the standards look much better, the U.I. is smooth as butter, and really quick.

So far I have not had any game crashes, or frame rate problems, or glitches.

My G27 and I love it!!👍:p

Meh for me.

I love some parts, I love the improved menus, love the new tracks, new cars (FIREBIRD!!), real nice physics..

but I cannot get past the bugs (hard locked 3-4 times on me now), the sloppy start-in-last for 2 laps career mode, frame rate is touch and go, no event generator, less content than GT5 (no course maker??? I know I know, it's coming with some promised update who knows when..), a limiting acrade mode, forced SRF, the loss of the Top Gear track, no more used car dealers (sorry I liked looking for deals! haha).. I hate it when new games seem to have less content than their previous edition.. even with the promise of it coming the game launched with what feels like less content.

I've played enough now to give this a huge thumbs down,I'm (44%) complete. Won't even get into how pissed I am about low money races, done intentionally to get you borrowing $20 from grampa. Guess I did get into it a little, but I AM grampa. And I liked earning my money the old fashioned way. Driving around the track with the least corners, at the most $ per minute. Anyway, wanted to check in my garage for HP/lb... Can't find it? Much is missing compared to gt5, if you never played gt5 you'd love this, I guess. But I did play it for two years. They spent very LITTLE money upgrading from 5-6. Yet it costs the same $65 too me. BTW, Help...I can't pass this friggin kart race to finish National A. And get my last 6 stars. I really can't, not funny.

I think I would like it a lot more if I had never played GT5. I can't see playing even 1/4 as much as I played GT5 (which s probably a good thing anyway).

Apologies for the typo (auto correct thing) in the poll. Should be "throws of" not "throw do" :)

It should actually be "throes of" but we get the idea.

WOW ... there is more of of a percentage of unhappy than I thought there would be.

I for one voted I am unhappy with it..

Yes it has some good stuff... but it also has a lot of the same old crap that happens time after time and continues to go overlooked.

I'm really getting tired with parting with my money for a half arsed effort... sort it out PD

Totally get this statement.. I feel the exact same thing.. £60:00 down and I feel I have to play it more than really want to.

GT6 is in a better state on release than what GT5 was. Considering how much was improved on GT5 via updates, bodes well for this game.

I disagree .. it has just as many bugs as GT5 if not more ... some are new and some almost as old as the series itself.

In general I'm pretty satisfied :)
Cars look and feel pretty good, liking the new tracks and career set up.
I'm probably one of the few who prefer the old GT5 menu page though, I liked how we could personalise it with our avitars and different pictures and colours.
Had a bit of a glitch with the stockyard but other than that it's all looking pretty good, and no doubt will only get better 👍

You are right. Get a mod in here to correct this... :)

I'm very satisfied with it. I have some complains such as the AI still being lifeless and dumb.
Other than that, the game is good. Atleast they aren't total jerks...

Thing that annoys me the most is the useless AI. They're far too easy with no variation at all. Is it too much to ask that some are aggressive, others more passive, some drivers in "lesser" cars are faster than those in faster cars, some of them modify their vehicles etc. At the minute they're just plain standard cars that get in the way on the first lap before you romp to victory.

Love the new cars. The old '70 Nova seriously handles almost as bad as the '73SS I had back in the day. New tracks are great. Bathurst is fun and I'm beginning to like Ascari now that I've ran the Light car Rocket on it. The new layout of the game is so much better. Many more things that I like better about this one, but by far my favorite is getting to spend more time racing and less time waiting on everything to load. There are a few negatives and things I miss from gt5(endurance) but overall it's much better. AI is too easy but I realize there are some who are playing for the first time. I just try to stay 50-150pp under the limit and/or run street cars against race cars when I can and the race gets much better.

I wouldn't disagree with that, but for me 6 is more of a complete game four days in, than 5 was.
I disagree.
They've taken so much out of the game, by that logic the most complete the GT series ever will be is when you get a blank disc.

People will always find something to bag on in these games. Personally, I'm loving GT6, but I'm more of a glass half full spirit. It will only improve from here I believe. :gtplanet:

I am generally happy with it. No other title gets near my console. The joy of driving is delivered in a graphically majestic fashion. But, I am a bit dissapointed that the game engine cannot handle a full grid of cars sitting for a standing start? Wether that is due to A.I or purely a visual limitation I don't know? We have had a nearly full grid of Racing Karts doing standing starts? I cannot remember if the Junior Redbulls Vettel challenge had a standing start?
I thing keeping GT6's resolution the same as GT5's would have made things better. I am hoping for some magical update. Some more options for personalising vehicles would be welcomed, as Photo mode and other things are addictive.

GT6 looks great, handles great. I am enjoying it.

Loving it out of the box, and knowing that more is to come, and big new features at that, just makes me more excited to them to come along.

GT6 is the best one yet for the driving feel and general physics. Sure, there are some frustrating elements as always, but I think that if you've gone this far with Gran Turismo as a series you're aware of it's little flaws.

I was getting a little bored with gt5 .I'm really happy to have something new to play around with till gt7 hits ps4.i see the direction that PD is going in and I approve .

I like the way that GT6's physics feel real and won't look back at Forza. But some slight problems like car sounds etc.. GT6 is going in a direction that is miles better than what Forza [moved back to GT] has become (a cashcow for T10,less content and loads of features missing but still charging the same £50-£60 for a game with less and DLC packs with cars/ tracks that should of been in FM5 from day one at a price)
