Yes please.

And big lulz at the delusional 'purists' :)

I´m a purist. But wheels is what makes a car. You can put as many aftermarket parts, without changing the wheels, and the only thing you´re going to manage is making the car look like pure rice. On the other hand, just change the wheels, and the appearance of the car changes drasticly, for the good.

So yes... Custom wheels for this purist, please...

I'm very great full to alot of people really putting there input on this, whether your the person that wants it done or the one that thinks no, Thank you for you input, Now its up to PD to read it.

how could somebody not wish standard cars' wheels to remain irreplaceable?!

Because everyone has there own opinions.

NO, I want MORE rims for PREMIUMS.

ThanksPDBai

I want some other things first, before they start wasting their time on superficial frivolities like this. Such as: 300% more A-Spec events, save function in endurances, more intelligent AI, some more up-to-date cars (premium or standard, IDC), better sorting/car management of my garage, etc. etc.

i just want to paint them, like the countach i wanted to make them gold. so the car would be black with gold wheels.

Last thing PD needs to be listening to is the wanting to look cool in photomode crowd. Photomode should be banned from racing games. Picture taking has nothing to do with racing. Wheels, while needed to make the car roll, the look of the wheel again has nothing to do with racing.

Have to disagree there, I think you'll find quite a lot of people enjoy using the Photomode including myself... go see for yourself in the Photomode section, a lot of outstanding images in there by genuine car enthusiasts; so it's not just about the racing in GT5...

A yes vote from me, have painted a lot of standards in my collection, a shame I cannot do anything about some of the 'fugly' wheels

Wheels, as well as OFFSET and Tyre WIDTH, for all cars would be much appreciated.

Thanks PD :)

The beauty of my RGT '00 is marred by these godawful rims. They're an eye sore. I generally love the game and this is low on my list of "wishes" for improvements. However, PD leaving rim modification off standard cars is one of the clearest testaments that the game was released unfinished.

i think pd should bring all rims from gt4
238123889 rims in gt4

that the first problem they should think of

Lol I can't believe 45 people don't want the option to change wheels on standards. seriously, lol

They, like myself, probably want a lot of other things fixed before bothering with superficialities like wheels on standard cars.

I understand that, but the thread title doesn't say "Do you want rims for standards in update 1.09" does it?:sly: It's asking if you want it period. How could you say no? They imported the cars (standards) and spoilers from GT4, why not the wheels?

YES!!! We all want them (and sometimes need it)!
The Ferrari F2007 is a premium with standard wheels, maybe a limitation of open wheel car modeling in the rendering engine, but it looks like crap. There is only a bad flat hubcap texture applied to the center of the tire if you view the car in photomode.
They are a real aerodynamic aids which i assume are now banned from f1.

Like the 787B's front wheels?

True... people saying no thinks that we want that asap... We know that there are some more important things to fix too...

The question here its just: do you want rims for standard cars?

They, like myself, probably want a lot of other things fixed before bothering with superficialities like wheels on standard cars.

It is a superficiality for YOU. Please respect other people toughts... we didn't said that what YOU want is superficial...

Peace guys, lets respect each other plz.

I totally agree with you. I am actually wondering why there is a 'no' option in the first place. It should be 'Yes, in the next patch' or 'Yes, but not now since there are more important issues atm' :sly:

I voted yes - I miss putting other stock Honda rims on other Honda's & MKIV Supra rims on JZA70's. :sly:

Though it's not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things that needed to be added to the game or fixed, I voted 'yes', because the stock rims on one of my favorite cars (Civic EG SiR-II) are pure, unadulterated suck.

yea i want them. idc if they are hq wheels on lq vehicles. I miss the ability to change wheels on every car. Wheels are the only other way you can personalize cars with the limited veriety of visual parts

It would be great if they bring back all the rims from GT4. It makes every car more unique and sportif...also, there are some stock wheels that are :yuck:

Heck, they don't even need to bring back the aftermarket wheels for me, they could simply allow us to use wheels from other standard vehicles and I would be fine (I like the idea mentioned about being obtained like the paint chips).

I want to put BBS wheels on all my standarts:sick::eek::)

I think its a good system too! Just put the rims under the "items" tab and then we can use them in any car we want.

Sorta like the used wheels on GT4, but better because we can have our own collection of rims on our storage. 👍

The thing is, most of those 'more important issues' probably involve more work to address. This matter of using wheels from GT4 ought to be fairly simple, compared to things mentioned in the thread like more cars, events and leaderboards.

they feel like getting premium cars are gift from heaven and wants to stay in that way...

this thread doesn't imply that putting aftermarket wheels on standard cars should be prioritized than anything else by PD....

They didn't import the wheels from GT4 because in GT5 all of the cars required a new tire model. While some of the standard cars may look very low res compared to Premiums, one thing that remains constant among every car in GT5 is decently modeled tires/wheels.

So while we won't see the wheel selection from GT4, there is still no reason we shouldn't be able to use GT5's wheel selection. But perhaps the reason why is lost somwhere in liscensing?

I also do not understand how 48 people don't want changeable rims... there really isn't an excuse as to why it isn't in the game. One major selling point for any kind of sim racing/driving game is customization - which usually always starts at the wheels. Some games are more sophisticated but almost every racing game allows changeable wheels.

This is one of the major things that nearly killed the game. How is it 2011 and GT5, which is supposed to be the pinnacle of all driving games, not allowing us to change wheels on 800+ cars? lol.
