Yeah I definitely want aftermarket wheels for the standard cars. As it stands right now in GT5 my drift spec Datsun 240Z looks a little odd with its metallic blue paint, dumped stance, negative camber and standard wheels. However if they were to implement it they'd have to add a lot more options since the current limited selection definitely isn't enough for 1000 cars.

I agree with bringing back the used wheels section from GT4. I used to love buying the watanabe wheels from the S.S. AE86 and putting them on my old school cars.

oh hell yes wheels on standard is a must for me, if you vote no you really suck....

Some people just have the pleasure to not help... doesn't hurt voting "yes" and help our cause. :)

But, well... its a free forum anyway.

And yeah, Trueno SS version watanabes on blue Zetto = :D

I voted yes. Still do not understand how hard it could possibly be for them to just port over the wheel selection from GT4. Almost all the cars that i do drive now and "collect" would be the standard cars. Bothers me alot that we can't even customize them like in the previous games.

Yep... I honesly spend 90% of the time driving standards... and harvesting the hell out the UCD

Im reading these responce about the "no" and i really can't say i agree, mostly because they already have the GT4 wheel codes, and could simply put them in GT5(mainly like standard cars) I really want the Wheel of the day and huge aftermarket section of wheel choices from GT4 to be implemented in GT5, and so do alot of other people. Your taking this as if they have to model 300 new rims from scratch. But like i said..every one has an opinion and that is why i have the no option.

Oh definitely! Extrememly frustrating and just plain stupid to have this feature left out. Kaz must be going crazy,he does some odd things and takes away some of the fun aspect of GT with each new version with silly things like this.

I`ve spent 3 days cycling the license`s and trolling the UCD for a Shelby GT350, damn frustrating, don`t know how you can do it. I`ve seen the same cars reappear many times but the one i`m after still eludes me! :yuck:

Well, before someone spammed the heck out of kaz's twitter talking about how come we can't change gear ratios on a FC transmission. If someone could do the same thing but about this, maybe we can get an answer.

The Ferrari F2007 is a premium with standard wheels, maybe a limitation of open wheel car modeling in the rendering engine, but it looks like crap. There is only a bad flat hubcap texture applied to the center of the tire if you view the car in photomode.

Yes and yes. I was in disbelief a week before the game came out when I first heard about not being able to change wheels on a standard car. I didn't believe it till I saw the youtube video with a standard car in GT Auto. Unreal!

I really enjoy this game but not being able to change wheels on standard cars makes no sense to me. Even the premiums have very few choices and some of the best/most popular wheels are missing.

At the very least they should've implemented the wheel system from GT4 as you could actually choose from a ton of different styles. Or if they just wanted to do something fresh, they should've treated wheels like paint chips where you'd get a set of wheels everytime you bought a car to be used on ANY other car.

My real life car is in GT4 and has Work Emotion Kai's, just like real life.
My real life car in GT5 has STOCK WHEELS!

I'm still in disbelief over this amazing backwards choice by the devs.

I would also like to choose the width of the rim. A good example is the S15 Silvia in GT5. Who agrees with me that this car desperately needs wider wheels!?

And the ability to put cheese cutters on front of my drag car.

Honestly... and I really do enjoy it, but, if we're given the same level of customization as the premium cars, and that includes being able to change wheels and add aero kits, I can live without the in-car view.

So yes.

Now now people...keep it simple, i don't want this turning into a wish list, This is just for wheels and wheels alone, Yes a feature to widen the wheels and such is nice thinking but the GT4 code consisted of no such thing. would be nice if it did though, But as i said before in GT4 when you added racing slicks, your Rim size grew, a good 2" or 3" on some cars depends, just like when adding rally tires your rims shrunk.

They are a real aerodynamic aids which i assume are now banned from f1.

👍 👍 :D

I love buying the wheels from the AE86. All my old school Skylines have them. :D

Obviously I voted "Yes". :)

Absolutely, and the premium wheels need an update as well, I hate the fact that certain wheels only pop up for certain cars, whats with that?

YES!!! The reason I don't buy alot of standards is because they have crappy aluminum colored wheels. Heck, I'd be happy if I could paint the stock rims.

I'd rather have more premiums and no standards at all. Or better AI. Or qualifying. Or damage & tire wear in a-spec...

So no, there's forza for all ricers out there, improve the game first

I doubt that its feasable. It takes a lot of resources to make a prem car. I wonder if we could get a DIY prem option where you can take a few standards and upgrade them to prem? That'd be cool and surely more doable.
