I for one would be happy if i could use different rims for my standard cars seeing as that's all i really drive and tune give or take a few premiums i actually like,But yes, They are already slammed to the ground, now they just need rims, I'm not complaining or anything i just want different rims, You could implement the GT4 rim system, Had either rims from rim shop, Or the "wheel of the day" which let you put different rims from other cars on our cars and had a few surprises, like the gold daytons or the "Bling rims" or the nice work deep dishes. Also the ability to make rims bigger when using racing tires, which came in handy for rim size changing. Please PD Just implement the entire GT4 rim system.👍 or come up with something different, as long as i can have different rims on my standards.

I'd like wheels. Just a rim wouldn't do me much good.

Until it actually affects performance though, I don't really care. They should make the wheel weight matter, then work on cosmetics.

I'd like rims so that the car I drive can feel a bit more "personal." Different colored spoilers would also be cool...but that's another topic.

I'm in love with the Autobacs Garaiya '02 and the stock wheels are a sin against decent aesthetics .....I'm stuck with them

Fat ones, thin ones, short ones, tall ones, I love them all. Yes I'm talking about rims still.

I want to put ridiculous rims on my cars. 12 inch rims 10 inch wide on my low low muscle car. 20 inch rims on my Honda S500. But I would also need to be able to raise and lower my cars more. Reduced performance would be an acceptable result. But imagine the photos.

The only problem ill have is hq wheels and lq cars, could look weird.

Id like them anyway though :3
Which is why there is another way, Just bring them GT4 rim system, They were already high 3d quality rims when you looked at them in GTauto. They bought over the original wings, So they could or should easily bring over the rim/wheels.

Also alot of standards "look" high quality so i don't really see High quality rims as a problem:tup:

Fixed. All that aside i Just want this great feature to return, It was done well in GT4 and would be good for GT5, It's just silly to bring only over the GT4 wings.

Aye, most of the standard models are from GT4, where they had their own standard model GT4 rims. I don't see why they cannot add those.

This. It makes no sense to just bring over the wings and not the wheels. if they have the code for the GT4 rings in GT5 they should have the GT4 wheels code.

Who sayd "NO" I think that was someone who was sarcastic for this "stupid' question.. and it is .. :) YES, we want rims, more PD will give more we will be happy. simple :)

It's not the top item on my list of wants but it is pretty lame that they couldn't implement this feature.

I am trying to GET PD attention on this subject. Because really standard cars dont get enough love "appearance" wise, PD needs to see that these cars are loved just like Premiums if not more.

Well you know every one has different opinions on things, Regardless of how crazy, If a person said no its just there opinion, maybe they feel that game enhancements need to be elsewhere in the game 👍

Just make them like it was on GT4... it was a lot better than the GT5 system.

The used wheels option was fantastic! Putting steelies on some of my car and other weird combinations was my favorite hobby on GT4. And waiting that damned awesome green TE-37 from the Takata NSX too to put on my white CSL :P

PLEASE PD! Standard cars doesn't even have to be compatible with GT5 wheels... just please make standards have shared wheels between them and thats enough.

PLEASE!

TorqueHappenS08, I'm with you on that battle... count on me on helping... maybe we can make a website or something about that to catch attention? lol

Lol lets skip out on that website, GTPlanet is all the attention we need, But i do agree with everything you said. Wheel of the day features was one of the best tuning features IMO ever fitted in GT you could find so many rare cool wheels, Yes, like the Takata TE37 or actual Nismo wheels or gun metal spoon wheels

Yes!!! It really iritates me that I could change the wheels on the old VW Beetle in the last GT game, but I can't in this newer one? Sure seems like a step backwards to me.

We definitely need wheels for standards. This is the dilema. Most standards have disgusting wheels and you can't change them. On the other hand you can change premiums but most already have nice wheels or better then the alternatives, arrrgh!

I would rather they expand the options for the current cars then try to add more.

Honestly I say bring everything back from GT4 the Rims and the Wings. Really I love have the white 3D wing on my Viper ^_^

Importing wheels from GT4 for use with standard cars in GT5 would be the way to go. Make sure they can be painted as well. This would eliminate many of the complaints regarding standard cars.

On a side-note, being able to paint race cars would be nice as well.

Edit: This is such a good idea, I'm going to put it in the feedback forum. Hopefully it can garner more attention and get some concrete votes.

Edit2: Someone already made a feedback post, so I just commented and voted.

That's a pretty easy fix. Only a limited number of wheels out of the total amount are available for premiums. Certain wheels are only available on certain cars. 'Unlock' the total amount, and voila! more options.

No, no, no. They should stop wasting time worrying about upgrading cosmetic junk, and fixing money glitch loopholes. Enough fluff in the game already.

Standards do not have enough fluff! Its bad enough half of them look terrible, they need a little something to even the odds.
Not to mention it is pretty ridiculous that in a world that aims to recreate the experience of car ownership you can't change your wheels.

You know what really eats me? When I see the pit crew removing the wheels of a standard car during a pit stop. It's like "look they come off!" "Put something good back on!" Its not like they are 2D or something. The hard work looks mostly done, give us some wheels!

To clarify what I said earlier, I would rather a full selection of wheels for standards then PD wasting their time making new cars.

Yeah that real weird how premiums have different wheels available to them. I can understand some of them but many are limited for no reason.

No.

There are much more important things to worry about.

The main one being making the cars I'd want to put new wheels on premium, thus eliminating the problem all together.

Or one can pray PD finish upgrading the standards to premium before we're all 50yrs old (sorry, if some people are close or already there) so one could change the wheels without worry.
