Should the Stealth and Chromelines Cars be available as DLC?

As per the title, how would you feel about the Stealth and Chromeline Cars being available as DLC? When answering - I think that the packs would be in separate Chromeline or Stealth packs of 6 cars. The Chromeline pack would include the Jaguar XJ13 (wasn't originally included).

I don't think that they would be available for less than the equivalent than $15 a pack

Definately NO, would be very unfair to those that paid lots of money for there collectors and signature editions.

Anyway this has been done before.

I searched for DLC Stealth Chromeline Poll - no other thread came up. maybe that it has been discussed a number of times, but didn't feel that was the same as having a poll.

It's not so much about the money involved but that some people went a long way to get them.

I expected this. Petty minded elitism, if you ask me.

I got two stealths for preordering from Amazon (or maybe it was play) but I'd like the rest. I'd also like the chromelines, but I'm not sure I'd pay $15 (or the UK equivalent) for either set. Maybe 6 months ago I might've done.

No worries, it took a while to write the questions once I'd ticked the poll option! was surprised to see an answer so quickly.

As for search - I was interested in setting up a poll, I didn't see one, so created one.
If people aren't interested, they won't view the thread.

Was posted on the US Blog close to launch in 2010 that those cars will forever be exclusive to those who preordered/got the LE/SE/CE editions.
 
Not only would they never be able to get away with charging money for something that has been on the game disc since day one, but the self-important people would come out of the woodworks to protest it.



So it's a moot issue.

correct me if I'm wrong, but I seem to remember that PD weren't intending on providing DLC

Business Corporation have plenty of ways around making u-turns!
 
I don't want them, honestly there isn't anything special about them..
 
Because I/they didn't see the sense in paying an exorbitant amount of money for pretty colours or 8 extra cars.
 
Because they were locked out to provide further incentive for inflated prices on extra editions of the same game that do include them.

I wonder how you feel about the upcoming XL edition, where people can effectively pay half price for the game and all DLC so far.

Thats fine I dont have a problem with that as they do not get the stealths or chromelines.

And its irrelevent about inflated prices as we where prepared to pay it.

I don't mind - but then i've managed to get everything for what I consider to be reasonable prices so far anyway!

But I don't think the XL edition includes the Stealth nor Chromeline?
 
Never! Why should they? People paid good money early on to get those cars so why should it free to everyone else as DLC?

They were exclusive cars and by putting as DLC, they aren't anymore.

I'm sure PD will eventually release them as DLC late on in GT5's lifespan but that will be a sad day...

Could you not argue though that you were paying for the limited exclusivity of these cars? As in, you get the privilege of having these cars for x amount of time before anyone else. For some reason that's how I've always "viewed" things like these - not that there is a way to "view" them really, it's not like you're signing a contract with Sony when you purchase the CE/SE, agreeing to terms dictating how these bonus cars will (or will not) be distributed. But still. To be honest I have the stealth cars and I couldn't care less if they gave them away today - I had the pleasure of driving them for over a year before the people who would download them, and that's enough to satisfy my ego :sly: Plus I soooooooo want those stealth cars, hehe.............

Weren't there pre-order bonus cars in GTPSP that got given away for free after a few months?
