Which oval do you prefer to drive on in Gran Turismo 5 . . .

DAYTONA INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY
OR
INDIANAPOLIS MOTOR SPEEDWAY?

Me personally, I prefer DAYTONA more than INDY because DAYTONA has wide smooth turns, while INDY's turns are sharper.

Also, when I play GT5 online, DAYTONA seems to be more fun than INDY because of all the action going on right at the start of the race you see a car wreck in your rear-view mirror.

Thanks in advance. :)

Your reason is the same as mine. You have to tune your suspension just right to keep your speed up and not end up in the grass or the wall.

I don't hate ovals, but I wouldn't prefer them to any other track. Except Cape Ring.
Anyways, Daytona seems to have a better atmosphere overall. I would really like an oval which would have spectator stands on every side!

Got to love Daytona, if only you could roll cars over online, we would see some spectacular crashes on that track.

Daytona. I'm tired of seeing Indy after grinding it for money and Daytona looks nicer.

Like Bristol?

I really wish they would have included Bristol in GT5. Banking the same as Daytona in a half mile track.

Even with the road course, I still prefer Daytona (Bus stop chicane is insane!)

huge fan of Indy here, but i know i'm biased being a local and a fan since i was 5. I do think that Indy is better in GT5 though, even trying to be as unbiased as possible. the sharper turns at indy are alot more interesting. i think the lack of banking makes corner exists a lot more rewarding to get right and suit the physics model better, and come on...that view. again, i know i'm biased, but coming out of turn 4 and seeing all those grandstands on both sides of the track--"the tunnel" some drivers call it-- i get butterflies.

with that said, and as much as love IMS i actually like Daytona road course better. just more interesting, and I don't like that the Indy road course in GT5 is actually outdated. It is the F1 course, but that track was modified to accomodate the MotoGP bikes. The MotoGP course runs couterclockwise, like the oval, and has a new section replaceing oval turn one, and the chicane is much better--instead of two 180s its an actual 's'. The north section is actually the same, but is pretty cool run in reverse. Anyway, it would be interesting to drive the MotoGP course in a car, but I can see why they used the F1 track. I do hope that the MotoGP course makes it in to Tourist Trophy 2 if there is one.

Don't really care for ovals...but I'd take Daytona over Indy, if I had to choose.

A majority of the "oval haters" if you will seem to be European.. Hmmm:p

Not a fan of oval racing, but I chose Daytona because it is less monotonous than Indy; having a tri-oval also more interesting.

Me too. I grew up watching my father racing short tracks and I myself now do. I have always had a soft spot for them and was hoping Bristol, Martinsville, Mansfield, Nashville, ORP, or Irwindale made it.

Anyway I would rather have Talladega than Daytona, a little better track, and the fact the start finish line is past the tri-oval. Besides the infield track is better also. Indy... I get it its prestigious and has a good road course used in F1. Thing that gets me is the only skill used in stock car racing represented in GT5 is drafting. Not the skills it takes to drive around a tight 1/2 mile track or the smoothness required to drive a 1-1 1/2 mile track.

Definitely needs Bristol and Martinsville in this game if they're going to have Nascar in it......major disappointment but I guess shouldn't really be surprised

And Daytona over Indy but then, neither are even ovals......

👍 The car wrecks that I've seen online at Daytona have been so amazing, too bad cars can't flip.

Daytona because it's more fun to race in-game and more fun to watch in real life.

It's a hard question for me.

Just for oval racing, it's Daytona by far. But its road course is extremely narrow and Indy's has a better layout anyway.

I've decided not to vote at this time. Maybe later.

Daytona.

I also prefer navel oranges over green apples, and gala apples over florida oranges.

Just sayin'....
