i love the ring. thats all that needs to be said

You cant handle the truth I take it?

I can handle the truth, but I know for a fact that it wasn't designed by a toddler, the majority of people who hate it can't drive a lap without going off, just sayin.....

My biggest obsession. Love it.

Total concentration required to pull of consistent lap times.

Same stretch of track, no matter how many times you drive it can bite you in the butt.

Awesome!

I love it best track ever made 👍 i know it 110% from my head

exactly most people are to lazy to learn something.
like people hate the FGT cause they cant stop spinning it out. Im not good at driving it but its still fun!

My thoughts exactly. I love just going for a drive, no matter the car. I'm happy in my Mustang, doing 55 over the whole track, and I'm happy in an X1 =P

Love it, it flows like the blood through my viens, i have run literally thousands of laps over pretty much every title thats carried this track with GT`s being the cream of the crop i will never tire of running it.

Neutral. I don't like it. I don't hate it. It's definitely overrated. The only part of the track I really enjoy driving is from Karussell to the S/F.

Been addicted to the Nurb' since the good ol' PGR2 days of trying to beat Darth Vader's TVR Speed 12 for the platinum (If you know, you know ;)).

I don't do much else on GT5 tbh.

I wonder how many people's opinions on the Nurb would change if they could actually drive around it. I like Laguna Seca a lot more now that I've been there. 💡

I love this track!

Been working on it for quite a while!

Just earlier, I finally managed to get a sub 6 minute lap on it with the Bentley Speed 8 :)

I hated this track until i did the 24 hour races there and learned the corners... now i cant get enough of it!

I love driving on it. However, races usually end up being quite stupid on it. It's too narrow to overtake cleanly in most places, so you end up waiting until the back straight to make a move, and races in public lobbies are almost always only one lap long, which pressures people to make desperate and dirty moves. You need at least 2 or 3 laps to have a proper race there. With narrower cars it can be fun. Ideally you want something like these to race on it, because those are the kind of cars the circuit was built for, but that's just me. :D

Most cars are OK to race there if there are 2 laps though.

It's a rollercoaster for your car, since we're racing on digital tarmac how abouth the south loop as well.

I can´t get enough of it. Best track in the world.

Nice in GT5 - shame they didn't do a full fat retro version with all the old original lumps and bumps and no armco and more wheel grabbing hedges - and less grafitti.

That's just the thing.. It teaches you patience.. If you're over aggressive with a pass it will kick your behind, but if you're clean you will master it. Just wait until the person in front of you makes a mistake or takes a corner too wide. I primarily free run on the nurburgring.. Much less chaotic and much less irritating.

I'm neutral. Every now and then when I play an online I think "Yay, Nurburg, this will be a good race!", But sometimes I'll see a seasonal with Nurburgring and say "gahh 🤬, Nurburg again".

However, I have to say I don't like the small versions of the ring. That more 'circuit-ish' part of it just annoys me. But this thread is about Nordschleife, so whatever.

i'm going to post a video of a race i had on that track...
it was a battle for the lead, the gap in that race between the first and the third place was less than 0,5 seconds!!!

I like it in the game because of the change weather and time. The track itself is long enough to cruise and/or race.

I love it. I used to grind the 'Ring challenges like the AMG one for hours trying to get gold. When I went back to them two years later, I blew away the gold without breaking a sweat; that's how much I drive it.

I'm 1 of the few who voted "hate" but it's really just that I dislike it. I dislike it for 1 reason,

It's takes too long.

I like shorter courses. If I want to race longer I'll just do a few more laps.

I use to hate this track but now I just enjoy having free run/hot lap sessions on this track. For me it's the best way for me to enjoy this track as opposed to racing on it. I honestly hate racing on it, because one screw-up can cost you the entire race. Sure one lap around this track takes awhile, but what also to be kept into consider is the duration of most of the other races in the game.

Offline or online, races at the Nordschleife almost always end up being much shorter than any others. So I've never been able to understand the complants about how they take too long, it's really the opposite.

Imagine something like a track that takes ~2:00 to go around. I can do 3-4 laps of that before a single Ring lap is done. I guess it's just a perspective thing, I feel like I'm getting "more done" on shorter tracks.

I love the 'Ring. I seem to do better on courses where there are a multitude of track elements within a set portion of the course (not just the entire course being limited to such), and at the Nurburgring, there is no better example.

There are technical sections, both fast and slow. There are long blasts that will test your gearing, and your willpower when it ends. Hairpins, chicanes, banked corners, everything is there without sacrificing one element for good rhythm.

The thing I like most though, is the fact that, it's 13 miles long, surrounded by trees (though my least favorite feature in any game, if not my most hated) and the only runoff areas are grass, so if you slip-up, it can either mean you lose a second or two, or you're damned trying to return to the pits.

I adore the Nurburgring. It's basically the only track I feel comfortable going on when in an online lobby. Loads of breathing room and very realistic. It's nice to take an uncommon car for a drive on the Nurburgring without holding up people. And the day-to-night cycle...oh my lord it's beautiful. Sometimes me and some friends will park up on the side of the track and watch the sun rise. It's peaceful.

The 'ring rocks! 👍

Almost without fail, I end up taking a car (preferably premium, where possible) that I haven't driven yet for a slow cruise around the 'ring (change time, cabin view & HUD off) to wind down after a nights racing. It's almost therapeutic!
