Instead of cycling through the list to find your friends would be nice if you just press "Triangle" or something to swap to a friends list.

Also it would be neat to filter based on hardware. Who is the fastest with a controller? Who is fastest with a particular wheel?

There's actually quite a lot of information like that about the names on the leaderboard already. It tells you all their driving settings and what controller and buttons they used. It would be awesome if you could filter the list any way you like using all that information.

I would like just a little icon next to the lap that would represent controller or wheel, TC, ABS, Power assist and so forth.

Really wish they'd hurry up and do this. Doing those seasonal time trials seems absolutely pointless without it.
