We had a wee bit of snow in the morning today, so I took the Interceptor to work instead of the Corvette.

I need some mufflers....

But in all seriousness though... this is a cop magnet. I can get away with blaming it on the odd Mustang this thing attracts, as cops don't expect it.. but... holy 🤬 the drone is real with this one.

I need some mufflers.

I had the rear torsion bar adjusted to the correct ride height (it was sitting too low previously) so I went for a spin to celebrate. Decided to head through the very pretty local Yorkshire scenery. Brought an SLR camera to take pics... But forgot the SD card  Anyway, here's a shot from my phone.

My latest acquisition:

2004 Audi A8L 4.2 Quattro.

Wish it was the 6.0 V12 but hey... I still love it. Just installed some winter tires, and gave it a wash. Resonators will go in sometime before Monday. Right now it's way too loud. Overall, a clean A8 and I'm planning to keep it this way.

I never heard of Audi making a V12; only a W12.

Either way, nice ride. I just hope you have some deep pockets.

The 4.2's are great engines!
Had some fun in the snow today...

Yes they are!

Oh man.. we're probably getting snow in a couple of days :nervous:
You'll love it in the snow, Audi makes one of if not the best all wheel drive systems. I would assume your bigger, and heavier A8 would be even better in the snow. I've got resonators on mine right now and I couldn't imagine how loud it would be without them because it is already almost too loud now...

I just don't want to use it in the snow

So you did a muffler delete and added resonators right? I can tell you a straight pipe for your daily will drive you insane. It's fun for the first three days when you rip it through town but after that, it's a nightmare. The drone is unbearable. It sounds good, but for the people that hear the car go by. Inside, it's like having a track that is only bass playing on full blast near the back of your skull.

The drone is actually not too bad, I'm planning on getting a magnaflow cat back system for it though. It still has the stock X-pipe too. I don't want to be a total cop magnet. I usually wouldn't take my car in the snow, but it was the first snow of the year and there was no salt down so I thought I'd have a bit of fun. I did a resonator delete, not a muffler delete so it's not way too loud. I replaced the rear resonators with Monza Tips.

I can't say how much I love this car. It was an amazing purchase. I've been loving drifting in the snow. Once the warm weather comes around, I'll start modding it some more.
