Well I couldn’t find a thread for boats, but yesterday and today I uncovered and prepped my 13 foot Boston whaler for the spring season. Hoping to actually get out on a local lake tomorrow after work.

Here's my two cars.

First, my pride and joy. My 2007 BMW Z4 3.0si Coupe. I bought it nearly three years ago and I've done a few little mods to it (wheels, suspension, paint, brakes, and some subtle vinyl wrapped bits). A few things planned for the year ahead, including a front end respray with smoothed out features on the front bumper and plate delete.

And my "daily" driver, which at the moment doesn't really get used much at all! A super-low mileage 2012 Volvo C30 2.0. I picked it up a year ago as lockdown was easing, with 19k miles on the clock! Since then we've gone back into lockdowns and had a baby, so I've barely used it and it's sitting at a little over 21k miles.

There's a chance the Volvo will be making way for a BMW X1 (selling the wife's Golf as well, so we'll be down to a small family SUV and my Z4).

My 2009 Opel Astra 1.6. Got the car from my dad last June when he decided to get himself a newer one.

In all of the almost ten years since the car has been with us the only things that broke were some light bulbs and the head gasket, other than that the car runs smoothly. Though, I'm planning to replace the car in the summer or fall with a Lexus GS 300 S16.

First time out of the back yard in I don't know how long now but things are progressing out the back for it's new home so the front yard will have to do for now while the work continues.

Also received this letter from Ford today. So it's 1 of only 11 built with these specs.

Edit: May as well add this one I took yesterday of two of our cars. They were both very dusty so I just quickly blew that off with the Gurney.

710kw (950hp) between them :D. The FPV has been chipped so it's over 300kw (400hp) now and the HSV is 410kw (550hp).

Finally saying goodbye to my first car this coming weekend. Its not much; had to replace a few parts, transmission's starting to go (accelerating from 1st to 2nd will occasionally result in a hard jolt), the oil has started to foam with rapid coolant drops (suspect a cracked head gasket), and the windows all fog up in the cold. But its had three previous owners, has lasted me seven years at over 244,000km, and was an okay drive despite having under 115hp. It also loved the snow for FWD, even the worst winters had me chugging along while larger vehicles ended up stuck in a ditch.
It wasn't much, but wasn't all too bad either. Only thing I disliked about it were those tacky Canadian Tire wheel covers I bought after one of the original VW covers broke off. Didn't feel the car was worth investing a full set of rims in.

I'm going to miss the golf, but I'm very much looking forward to the next car in line. I'm planning to do so much more with/to it in the long run.

Haven't been on in forever, and wow does this place look different! Nice, though. I just don't game like I used to, but after skipping GT Sport because I'm even less interested in gaming online, I'm super stoked for GT7. Anyway... my Accord's still in the storage unit. It's been slow but steady progress. The built H22 is finally in the car, and some other little mods have been done. Just a lot of little things left to do before I take it to get the intake and exhaust welded up and the car tuned on the dyno, but I've blown well past my budget on this thing (Slash, I feel you... but zero regrets, because this car's a lifer), so fingers are crossed tight that it'll be on the road by the end of the year.

And the RSX is just serving daily duty, racking up miles and keeping up with basic maintenance. It's up to 286k miles or thereabouts. There was that one time I went for a canyon run during a blizzard:
