First shot taken at Lime Rock Park. I'll let you figure out the location of the second photo...

The real one is the 2012 Centennial Edition Grand Sport. We still own it and enjoy it, mostly in the summer of course.
Love the Centennial Editions. Back when I was ready to pull the trigger on my old C6Z, a Centennial Edition GS was what my salesman wanted to sell me on.

Took out my 1973 VW 1303S a few days ago.

Super charming, and I am always amazed of how relative modern it feels, despite being 52 years old.

Hit 30,000 miles today. It's been a very good daily driver so far.

Fun fact, this is a high mileage car: 300000 original miles, or about 480000 km!
Still both look and feel very good though. Bought it back in 2009 when they where very cheap and have had a lot of fun with it. It is a driver for sure, but I sadly haven’t used it much for the last three years.

Love the 3.2! What a beauty, very clean and in good shape considering the mileage. I assume it's been restored or repainted? What do you prefer, that or the 993 of yours?

Thanks!
It is very well kept and in good condition, however far from concours quality. It has been repainted at some point before I bought it 16 years ago (oh my god 16 years?!?!?!) but was very well executed. The engine had a rebuild some time in the early 2000s if I remember correctly.
I imported it from California together with my dad, and it was used every day by an air-force captain. Except some minor repairs and a very thorough detailing, I haven’t done much to the car. Would like a slightly lower ride height though.

Even if this car and the 993 are very similar in some aspects, they are also very different to each other. I also love the 3.2 Carreras, especially with this G50 gearbox that is just superb and a big improvement from the 915. I also love Targas (I choose to ignore the horrible windnoises it produce when driving with the top ON). The 3.2 has a more basic feeling that I like. However, there are so many improvements done to both the 964 and the 993, and with a gun to my head I would choose the 993 over THIS particular 3.2. But it is close. A really good 3.2 G50 Coupe with some tweaks here and there is definately up there with both the 964 and 993, and what it lacks in refinement it gains in a more old school and nimble feeling.
Any 911 is a good pick in my opinion, I love them all!

Haven't been on this forum in over 10 years, but managed to log back in and have been scrolling around looking through for nostalgia's sake. Still have the same car as I did back then though. Still alive and kicking. Also not sure why but I used to make all my posts in blue text. Don't think it's the same blue though but it's been 11 years lol.
I log in about once or twice a year for tunes and for nostalgic sake as well but man back in the day I would visit your build thread almost every week. Good to see you still have yours as well.

My last car was a 2004 996 Carrera 4 coupe, but I sold it nearly 3 years ago and only got around to replacing it a few weeks ago.

I fancied something a little less sophisticated, a little more practical, but still a lot of fun to drive.
I've been hankering after a V8 for a while now and decided it was about time to do something about it, so,say hello to 'Bruce the Bogan' 😀

6.2L of Supercharged RWD chaos! 🤣

I bloody love it, it's stupidly quick and noisy as hell, but so much fun.

This is awesome! I'm not a Merc fan in general but gotta give it to an AMG wagon!!! Also, would you have the route available that you guys followed (obviously excluding where you live)?

Happy to share, here is a general overview of the good stuff on the western side of the country. It was my wife's first big road trip and we were focused on the northwest states but I have been doing it for years so have experienced a lot of the hidden gem roads in this country over the years, happy to share specific route numbers if anyone is interested. Happy to report that my wife enjoyed herself and we will probably have more trips in our future to other regions of the country.

We had to cut a few days short due to severe weather but overall, a fantastic trip.

Thank you, this is great! We planned a big road trip for this year but plans changed and family visited from Europe. Next year I plan an overseas trip for our 20th wedding anniversary, maybe 2027 or 2028 will be the year of the road trip, at least we have time to plan :)
