I work for a Design firm called OBOX-Design. Here is a link to our latest look:

Like? Don't Like?

Love it 👍

I'm not sure if I like the huge menu links, but other than that it's great. Don't know if I'd want to use it every day, but afterall it's not a website for using every day, it's a website for showing off your talent (and ultimately enticing some customers). But yeah, I'm impressed. I love some of those designs in the portfolio too. So much so that it's making me have second thoughts on whether to design my site myself :P

Hi guys im finally ready to unveil a new forum me and a couple of freind are working on!

http://exoticwheels.informe.com

It has a main site which needs article posters and a forum (linked to) which requieres alot more members!

Feel free to join!

Well, the 404 message I'm getting is fairly well designed for an error message. I'm just wondering if the site will live up to the expectations that are now set in my mind from that.

Thank you very much for that Jondot 👍

Ah, I see you’ve made the links look different. It’s much much better, now. 👍

The link works for me!

Please keep trying, as members are needed, and there's none of those UFGaming nasites on there either:)

I'm looking into buying a domain with a similar name to that without the informe bit on it, same with the site.

It's working now, but in all fairness I have no desire to visit again.

I'm not a great fan of the template you've chosen, and you don't appear to have much auto content or even chat around, so in to be honest I'd rather visit my own site and keep that running smoothly.

Ok jon. I see what you mean. :)

But just to say the forum has not been up long and we are still bringing in our first members, once we have a good amount of members Automotive content will start coming in via two or three designated posters(for the main site). We can only not have few members if people dont join. The template I have chosen is availbile with 20 others to choose from aswell.

;)

and jon, It's your site that gives inspiration for other people like myself to make an auto site! you should be very proud! you are what we aim for

I had a meeting today with the regional general manager for the areas Fox and WB TV channels.. Just wait until the website we make for them. 👍

Just a mention, the website you posted on here is not W3c compliant, it has one or two errors. I suppose that going to be soughted out though?

Not really, validation is awesome, and generally I'll validate the pages I make, but having a page with a few errors doesn't keep me up at night.

Thanks for the heads up, though. 👍

(PS., try getting a page created using Joomla! to validate.. Try being the key word)

Turbo Freaks is running smoothly with 13 members & it's now a full site! Leaderboards are coming soon along with many more features including IPB or vBulletin depending on whether I can get the money.

I finaly found the time to optimze my website. Now from 15-20sec per page view it loads the page nearly instantly. We have upgraded our servers from 500mhz P3s to 2x 64amd 8gb ram. Also we made lots of configuration mods, on the server, the site, and the database.

The site is finaly ready to be promoted. Help me out guys!

Piotr, you've got a nice little site there. There's a few things you need to be doing differently, though.

Firstly, your only form of advertising appears to be on a larger GT site. That's not dissimilar to standing outside a Lexus dealer advertising used Vauxhalls. Sure you'll get some sales, but most people will be happy enough with what they've found and won't want to move. You reallly need to find somewhere else to advertise, and probably start paying for it too.

Secondly, you've got to stop asking people registered here to randomly add a link to their signature (and even their websites). You need help, fair enough, but it's not us who should feel obliged to give it. Especially when we're not even registered. If they are, that's different, or if you've helped them out or whatever that'd be fine.

Thirdly, get up some new content. You've got plenty on GT4, guides and all, but let's be honest; it's not getting any newer. Lots of people are still playing it, sure, but you need to cover all bases.

Just a small rant here, so bear with me. (This isn't necessarily aimed at lthiele, either)

I fail to understand why people continue to post their sites 5 minutes after they created the account with Invisionfree or installed the forum software. It's like posting a picture of 3 bricks and saying "this will be my new house". Fair enough if you've just spent a while coding, designing and whatnot, but I hardly think the effort needed to click "create a free forum now" demands a post and link in here when it's done for the 12th time this year.

To my knowledge, this thread is for asking for critique on design, layout, name, coding, and to show off your work. There's just nothing to give critique on when it's an empty shell with the same design you've seen dozens of times before. Nor is there any thing to show off.

Nor do I understand why every little minor update has to be posted in here. "Well, yesterday someone posted an image of their cat which caused minor discussion in one of the forums". Congratulations, you must be very proud. Now you've got some discussion going, how about not creating another forum with a slightly different name and going through the same process again? If you really can't help it, go make yourself a blog and write it in there.

It's great that you've made your own site, it really is. I've got no problems with any of you making a new one every time it rains. Why? It doesn't interest me. I just ignore the links in your signatures and MSN names like most people ignore mine. I just get a little annoyed when serial forum makers jump into the thread right in front of the person who made something interesting that took them a lot of effort to produce. I'll bet money on the fact that the next well made, interesting site that gets posted will be followed after about 2 days by a mass free forum maker advertising some drivel they "co-produced" with someone they met at the bus stop yesterday. I understand a lot of you are proud of what you've produced, but maybe you should go and show it off on the sites where they're hosted. I seem to remember Invisionfree has a show-off/critique area. When nobody replies positively to any of the dozens of posts you've made in here, it's a hint that maybe it's a good idea to find somewhere else to advertise.

I'll just point out that I have nothing against free forums or websites either. Everyone has to start somewhere. They just don't have to start again. And then again. And then again. And then again...

Apologies for the minor interruption, I just felt my opinion needed expressing.

Colour scheme isn't bad, and neither is the layout. Could benefit from a logo and some background images, but it's promising :)

(I had no idea you were a racingdriver. That's awesome :D)

I agree 👍 Fascinating stuff, Chris :)

Excellent post before, Jondot. It irritates me when someone puts alot of effort into something only for it to be bumped by relatively pointless posts...

yea thanks for that. My best friend is helping me with it. My team once hired a pro webdesigner for the team and saw what he did and that was amazing but i kinda like my side. For sure some background logos are a good idea 👍 thanks for that

and yea, i am a pro race driver, just never mentioned it ;) :P
