I was wondering if anyone here uses POV-Ray? If so, post some of your work with it.

Thats an example I added some source code to. I'm hoping to improve the lighting and radiosity soon.

Hayzus Christos that looks pretty bedamned good! I have no idea what POV-Ray is but whetever it is post more of it!

The brown ball, second from the left outside the box, appears to be too close to the box.

Neat stuff though (:

POV-ray is some neato stuff. How long does that kind of thng take to render?

It took me about 3min to render. The face counts are pretty low in this scene. I have scenes that have taken me about 8min to render. I'll probably just use the raytracer in blender for now on since it takes me about 30seconds to render the same scene in that engine.

I used to use it ages ago. It's very cool, although 8 minutes is a lot shorter a rendering time than I got! I was working with an Atari ST, and scenes were taking 24hrs or so to render.

I remember using it to render my Lego scenes using those LEGO things like L-CAD or something.

We bought our 3D guy at work a dual 3.2GHZ P4 with 2GB of memory and a 128MB Quadro video card. It screams.

yeah that crappy picture site doesnt allow what ever you call that picture link thing
