Omnis
Schumacher is the best champion of F1. Senna is the best racer, and Fangio is the best driver.

...and Gilles is the most crazily fast driver.

Toyota is a big suprise. You really have to hope the B car has a lot better performance….

it's a shame we both rated him when we predicted who was gonna' win the WDC this year.

well being me id want to say mclaren 1-2 finish haha.. but i doubt its going to happen this time. i say.. ferrari and renault making up the top 3 and honda 4th? mebbe.. im not good at this :scared:

Since nobody posted the actual qualifying times, here they are, for the record.

- As you can see, Kimi Raikonen's was bored, and wants to make a race of it, for added excitement on Sunday.

- An American in F1! An American in F1! An American in F1! It's been 13 years for me to witness this, my favorite of sporting events. Do you realize that I started watching F1 racing when I was 13?!? Do you realize the significance?!? No? Okay...you could make a case for sixteen years, if you don't coun't Michael Andretti. Scott Speed, your only task today is to appear on the grid in a racing car. It deosn't even need to have a motor in it, although it didn't work for Perry McCarthy. Anything after that won't matter today! Eddie Cheever must be proud, even if he lived in Italy for most of his life.

- Super Aguri....what can I say: Who would ever have thought in 1973, that Don Nicholls' operation would somehow rise from the ashes into Super Aguri? That's right; from Shadow to the splinter group called Arrows, sold it's name to Footwork for a few years, had one of the biggest F1 engine flops in the flat-12 Porsche motor, and along the line, used workhorse DFVs for many years before getting BMW engines, then renamed Megatron engines (the only F1 engine named after a Decepticon leader), had an American driver (see above). Oh, were was I? Then it was headed up by Tom Walkinshaw, and died off. They almost bought Prost cars, so tie them in with Ligier if you want, but please use a dotted line to connect them.

- Nico Rosberg: All I can hope for is his dad tought him everything he'd ever need to know about being his own public relations department. Our 1982 World Champ had some of the most classicly unbiased and un-spun lines ever told to the modern racing press. "The new engine is sh**, thank you."

- What am I waiting for? The race is to begin...now! Nineteen years of this, and it never gets old to me!

Fisichella is still reporting a loss of engine power, despite the Renault team chaning everything they could without installing a new engine after qualifying. :indiff:

Can't say Massa's little semi-spin was unexpected... here's to the most overrated driver in F1.

Live Timing is not working, and Spanish TV goes into 20 minute commercial breaks :ouch:

Man I LOOOVVE to see F1 again man. I was actually thinking of doing a huge single player Formula V8 race at the same time in LFS:p

I must say btw that track is beautifull!!!

Too bad for Massa and Albers and the other guy that didn't start.

And alonso is GONE! Micheal attacked just a few laps ago and now he's gone again. I sooooooo like this V8 competition!!!

Plus here in the newspaper it said that the new tyre rules allow for some better tactics and competition!!

I really LOVE this! 1,8 second gap!

Edit: Oh yeah that was ownage.

DAMN!!!!

i wanted micheal to win!! oh well, theres a whole lad of races to come yet.

i hope the rest of the season is as good as today and yesterday:) 👍 .

A good race for the first one of the season. Some good outbraking moves and a bit of side by side action.

Wow... Season looks good..
5+ Drivers with a chance, 4 diffrent teams..

Nico Rosberg seriously is someone to watch, and its good to see Williams back up there, hoepfully some entertainment from them..

Toro Rosso.. Those V10's need to be restricted more.. Too much pace on the straights.

One of those years for Kimi too as well, the McLaren is clearly capable of winning, reliability again will be the issue

AWESOME RACE! WOA! Rosberg is a future champion. 👍

I don't want to jinx him, but I seriously think Rosberg could win a race this year. He's got some very serious speed, considering he finished 7th after spinning and having to pit for a new wing on the first lap. Very impressive drive.

Also, great driving from Alonso. That was some crazy braking he did when Massa spun right infront of him at turn 1. If you didn't see this, you've got to find a replay of it somewhere.

All in all, I'm very impressed with the new format. Tire changes and the new aero rules have really helped bring back close racing, which there was plenty of in this race. I'm glad to see the FIA finally got their act together.

Great race. First time ever I was cheering for alonso as I hate shumache and ferrari winning.

Rosberg is definetly a future champ but he will have stiff competition as all the other top drivers at the moment barring shumacher are all very young like him.

Kimi however was just WOW!!! Hes easily the best driver in F1 at the moment and this year it should be great to watch Alonso Shumacher Kimi and Button battle it out. Might even have to include massa into that battle.

I think however nearer to the end it will be between alonso shumacher and kimi.

What a great race! Looks like it'll be an amazing season.

There was so much fighting going on at every stage of the race! I almost jumped during Alonso last pit exit, when he managed to stay ahead of MS on the first corner. Raikkonen pulling a miracle drive was great too, and I'm also very impressed with Rosberg, nice way to make up for his mistakes, he's definitely someone to watch. Heck, Willams aren't far from giving us a 5 team battle for wins.

I feel bad for Fisichella and Barichello though, and also Villeneuve, who was having a decent race. Heidfied too, for being punted on the first corner.

Can't wait for then Malaysian GP.

Whens the next GP?? I cant wait. Carl I'll have to disagree with villeneuve I think hes lost it and is below par.

Massa has only proven what I think of him..
He may be good at Quali, but over a race he makes mistakes and will not be anywhere near consistant..

That was brilliant. A great race, plenty of overtaking, particularly from Rosberg and Button. Missed quali yesterday but hope to catch the next one on Saturday.

Next race is Malasyia (sp) next weekend.

Before his engine blew up, he was on a good pace, keeping up with cars from the top 4 teams, that's not bad at all considering the car he's driving.

One driver I'm disappointed of is Montoya... looking at what Kimi does with the same machinery, it just looks really bad.
