Prefered drift-train?

ok, ive got a question to ask the drifting gods here...If i had a Mini with SS on the front and Sports tyres on the rear (still with GT2 here), and everytime i went around a corner the back slid out, with out using the handbrake, would that be counted as "ass draging"?

GT2 is old and doesn't do real drifters any justice, but the way it sounds to me is that you are gripping with the front tyres and oversteering with back tyres that break traction easier. So really, it is just sliding due to oversteer.

However, if the Mini is FF, any sort of rear wheel sliding is considered ass dragging

FF's can drift, but it's like playing in the major leagues with a wiffle bat. It's useless.

Yep, azndrifter has got the 411. Stick to FR if you want the most chalenge, and the most style.

I think I choose to drift with FRs because of the weight distributions... The more weight in the front due to the engine, made it easier for weight transfer in braking, easier for the rear wheels to spin..... that's just me. It's probably just psychological.

hey have you ever seen a ff in D1??? no right... thats because they ass drag!!!!!!

well actualy in D1 some drivers do use the hand brake to intiate there drifts. soo it depends on the defintion you use.

Mine is drifting is when the rear tires break traction do to excessive power causing the rear to slide

AWD are usually Front Engine. There are some Mid Engine AWD cars. No Rear Engine AWD car i know of.. anyways exhaust note u damn noob

There is one rear engine AWD car, that I know of, The RUF CTR2.

I can drift but i want 2 do 2p drift but thers nobody ova here good enough...i mean im not braggin or n e thing but yea...i mean i ask my friends and brother but they not good enough so yup alll i can do is practice more...DAMN!!!...sigh...

Wow, I haven't seen that thread in a long time. Since then, I have found someone in my area that drifts, you all know him as Xsyorra. So, if everything goes well, expect to see some 2 player drift vids.

I know it sounds like a generalization, but the majority of people are ignorant. Thus making them stupid.

For example:
When I try to get people interested in drifting in GT3, it's like they dislike it by default and don't give me credit for my skill, claiming it's easy, but when I hand the controller over they suck and call it gay.

my friend is the same way but.. he' turning... I showed him a couple vids and he's sloly getting into it...
some people like the arts(musicals,etc.) and other people like motocross...its all preferance(sp.)

I think that most drift cars out there are either FR or 4wd. I don't know of many MR's or FF's.
