Hello all, I write reviews for premium cars that you guys get to request. These reviews will (soon) feature test laps around willow springs for speed testing and Apricot Hill for handling. I mostly review premium cars but feel free to request a popular standard car such as any racing/sports/super car.

All I ask is that you be respectful here. Feel free to disagree with me and let me know. This is a car review so if I'm not mentioning something please say so but do know this isn't a very exhaustive test. I'm not doing hundreds of miles in a car to test. However, I will let you know if I've used the car for a while. And please point out anything I've done wrong in a respectful manner.

Upcoming reviews (in order): McLaren 12C. Pagani Huayra Request a car for me to review!

Discussion page rules: Only discuss topics mentioned here please. If I go off topic, you may stay off topic but only until I say to get back on topic to avoid confusion. You may request cars for me to review here of course, ask questions here, and of course discuss the cars here. Please do not do your review of a car here.

Reviewed cars page rules: Would prefer if no one would post in it but I understand if you do. If you have something to say about the review, you may say it in the discussion thread and be clear which car it is. And finally. Do not do your review of a car there This is all I ask :)

Every 5 or so reviews I will ask for feedback to make sure I'm doing everything correctly. This will be one of those off topic moments. Only give feedback when it's requested and after I say to get back on topic please continue the regular discussion rules :)

Info for car testing/laptimes

Controller: Logitech Driving Force GT
Transmission: Manual
Driving line: on (for braking reference, I do not stop when it tells me to stop however, it's too early)
ABS:1
All cars will use Sports Hard Tires (racing cars will use Racing Hard)
Courses: Monza to get the know the car, Big Willow for speed test, Apricot Hill for handling test
3 laps on the two test courses, The last two laps must be valid and whichever is fastest will count as the time

I am not an expert driver by any means. Just because you did a faster laptime than me does not mean it should be listed. The laptimes should be reviewed by one person, me, to keep consistent. Always remember that there will always be human error in there though and if a car has a faster laptime than another when it shouldn't is not my fault. These reviews are to the best of my ability.

Laptime categories work in groups of 49pp. 500pp class will have cars with pp from 500-549. etc. Race cars will have their own, seperate category

I'm a pretty batty guy when it comes to reviews (or anything I read). So I like how you're giving facts and nailing the professionalism.

But, I'm not sure I can keep up with walls of text. They're as evil as the calories from an all you can eat buffet.

My advice: put some points for presentation. I've been doing some TopGear styled reviews here, and it's my attempt to entertain the casual and also be factual. You don't have to copy it, but it'll be nicer to see that you're passionate with some bonus effort.

And requests! If you can afford a Delta Wing, SomeDude wants to see what you think of the Shelby Daytona Coupe.

Sorry guys, don't have time for a review today. Unexpected business popped up. Will try to get reviews done tomorrow however I may be a bit busy then as well. Of course I'll make it up to you guys, but I'm just a bit more busy than usual.

Not a premium but try the Ford R200 I just have its great straight out the box. I tuned the LSD a bit & man this makes you smile. Think it will punch well above its weight on PP points.

@Racin510s Hey man, did my review on the One-77. I got to drive it a bit more and realized that what I told you may have been just really basic info. While the handling is heavy it is a fun car to drive but keep it stock. Just letting you man, sorry if this came a bit too late and made you want to change your mind.

The LP670 was my favorite car in GT5. It's so much fun and much easier to use than the other lambos. That will happen for sure!

The Lp670 was also a good looking car but I still like the Lp640 even if it does suck

Ok guys, I know I haven't been putting out reviews as often as I had before, that's only because I've been a bit more busy and I had to re-work the entire thread to make it more organized. Tomorrow, lap times will get set up and old reviews will be changed to the current review format, look at the Latest Aston Martin One-77 if you want to know what i'm talking about. Expect most if not all lap times tomorrow.

yeah, 640 is a classic. The beginning of the end. The last basic lambo that had the lambo fear with the engine and old suspension plus it really wasn't that bad of a car if you knew how to work around the grip limit. The 670 came and most of the classic lambo terror was gone but gosh it looked amazing. Then comes in the Aventador. Changing everything inside and out but it's a rampaging bull once more.

Quick question for you all about the lap times. Should I give all cars a specific number of laps they can do (say all cars get 5 laps each, all must be valid) or should I try for the best time possible with any amount of laps I'd like?

Yes I suggest making a limited amount of laps that can be run with each car, makes the times more comparable.

How many laps should I do? I'd like them all to be valid so I don't want a ton but I'd like to get a fair amount in

Let's do this, for those of you that think I should do a limited amount of laps, tell me how many I should do. I think 3 or 5 laps would be good. my 3rd and 5th laps always seem to be faster than the rest.

Yeah definitely, give each car a set amount of laps in order to set a time. When testing cars I'll usually spend a bit of time getting used to the basic characteristics of a car and then once I'm confident in its abilities I will give it 5 - 10 laps (depending on lap length) to set a time. I find this gives them a fair chance to set a good time, if I can't get a clean lap out in that time then that only highlights that the car may be difficult at the limit 👍

Laptimes have been posted along with a leaderboard! Tell me what you guys think, if you got a better time or a slower time or whatever comes to your mind on that subject!

Expect reviews to begin back up tomorrow beginning with the Veyron. No idea how much I'll get done, hopefully at least one for you guys! Anyways, past reviews have been redone, give them a look! I know they're missing info, I'll be working on that throughout the night and tomorrow if I don't have them finished. Hope you all like it!

Quite an interesting review of the Genesis, The more you look at it, the more it'll grow on you :sly:
I wouldn't doubt that. I just don't have a reason to play with it much and Idk why I'd chose that over a 370Z or Skyline. In fact, idk why I'd chose any of those over a Le Man's Prototype.

the cars I buy for fun...

Well, we're about 10 reviews in. Time for suggestions! So tell me what you guys think of the current format. Is it easy to read and find stuff, do you like the way the new threads are set up, am I doing ok on laptimes, if you got something to say that you think will help or that I could change/improve/add upon now's the time to say it! Depending on how I feel tomorrow we'll see if reviews will come in.

This is one of those topic change moments. Give me your feedback now because when the next review get's posted we're getting back on topic on requests and car discussions :D

Alright guys. Reviews will continue tomorrow (hopefully) beginning with the Shelby Daytona coupe. If there is anything your like to weigh your opinion on please do so before the next review comes in. Till then, feel free to ask questions or talk about anything that has to do with gran turismo here

OKAY, so, after checking the leaderboards I noticed the BMW Z4 GT3 lap time on apricot hill was completely wrong. So wrong in fact I accidentally copied it off of the Aventador's time. It's situations like this which really makes me happy I wrote times up on a word doc encase something like this would have happened. Please know it's been corrected on the leaderboard and on the review itself.

Speaking of reviews the daytona coupe review has been posted, feel free to check that out. We're running low on requests to review cars so if you got a car you'd like me to review now's the time to say it! Thanks guys, have a good one.

I think you are doing great with your reviews. They are just the right length and easy to read. The thread is subscribed and I'm looking forward for more 👍

When you have the time and credit, could you please review the Mclaren MP4-12C?
