My ex-girlfriend pre-ordered this game (Collector's Edition) for my for my August '10 birthday. Got the game on release day around 10AM and I still play it regularly. I only stopped playing the game regularly for a few times. The first time was when the PSN went down for a month, then afterwards when PSN users got free games (I played and beat Infamous (96% complete on trophies too) and Wipeout HD/Fury). Once I beat those I got back into GT5. Another break for Christmas '10 when I got Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, then a break at Christmas '11 when I got Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception and Heavy Rain. But, what really made me continue playing this game was when I got the DFGT. I got the wheel in early 2012 and it renewed my interest ten-fold. I play in the same room with the same group of competitive and clean racers at least four times a week. And, with no good games in sight for PS3 I see myself playing regularly until the launch of GT6!

I still play GT5 4-5 days a week. Got the game 2 months after introduction along with a ps3. Initially I whizzed through most all of the events, got bored and put it away. One day I tried online and got hooked. Have spent most all my GT5 time with different race groups since then.

2-3 months ago, my arm got both tennis and golfers elbow. I've had to give up online Enduros which I miss badly. So have been playing sparingly offline. Without being able to push hard anymore, offline works well for me now. They changed the AI's idiot ways ways a lot since I'd played offline long ago. I just run like it's a real life track day and try not to even touch the AI cars.

Hadn't done hardly any seasonals for about a year except to grind a race or two. Now I'm just trying out lots of cars I've never spent any time in and running them fully stock. Using GT5 as a Driving Simulator instead of a race simulator now, heh. Gotten some great track creator tracks that I can cruise on.

It's kind of ironic that after needing to slow down with my injuries, it's forced me to slow my pace enough to enjoy the scenery. Had never used cockpit view with all hud off before. Was strictly bumper view for online. Now that's all I'll use so it almost feels like a new game.

Do you use a wheel? If so, unplug it. I have tennis elbow from wedding photography and for about 3 months I had to use my G27 unplugged as I nursed my arm back to health. Worked like a charm. I prefer FFB, but I would rather use a wheel unplugged than not race at all. Cheers!

From time to time, not as much as I used to but I'm still here and still enjoy it very much. :)
