Prizes?

Game is way too generous. Had the same problem with F4. Now they just spoon feed you everything. Nothing feels rewarding. I want to actually earn it. Not get it from some lucky bs spin.

I don't get this statement. I see this complaint online that the game is to generous, nothing feels 'earned' and there is no 'progression' as such.

What is it about going through an artificial grind to get a car makes it so 'rewarding'? This was a trend in racing games back in the early 2000's, and there's a good reason why very few racing games do this anymore. It just isn't a fun experience for me (atleast). I like the fact that in this game, I don't have to do a 50 lap circuit race around the test track just to get enough money for a V8 Supercar, because thats what was the most efficient way of earning credits in FM4/FM3 was. Now I can actually focus on what I love Forza for moreso - building crazy cars, painting, tuning, racing online, drifting etc rather than worrying - 'Well I can't afford this LMP1 car for career, so I guess its back to the 50 lap driving in a circle grind again'.

This is a game about racing, and a game about experiencing all the different content it has to offer. If they had a progression system with less rewards, less payouts, then people would have less of a chance to experience that content. Especially after the backlash from FM5, they want to make the economy more rewarding. It might be slightly too rewarding - but I'd rather have that than a more grindy system IMO. Different strokes for different folks, ya know? :)

I'm Lv22 at the moment and I believe I spun the wheel at every level-up ... but I had 4 or 5 wheelspin messages
in my inbox for past levels... so I think I got them twice!?

Didn't get any superfancy cars up to now... but that's okay, because I mostly race D-B class ;)

Think I'm getting the thin end of the wedge. My second level up netted me an ND MX5. Great fun, though.

That rocks! I just missed it, (the 250) got the big buck Aston instead so it's good.

Got one of the V8 supercars today.
I got one yesterday,I couldn't drive it for bleep around Long Beach, and it didn't help that I got rammed every time i braked into a corner either.

My prize spins have been all over the place ranging between money, packs, and cars. This was a really good prize last night for my level 29 spin. #1 312 T2

I feel your pain, the AI can be real butchers behind the wheel and for me, I don't enjoy Long Beach one bit, just not my thing.

Level 3 was a 370Z. Level 4 was the R18 and 1,500,000 credits. That's more like it.

Long Beach isn't my thing either, just the championship took me there.:yuck:

Personally I don't really mind Long Beach, though it does get messy at times; my least favorite circuit to race on, in my opinion, is Road Atlanta: everybody seems to be good at this track, while I'm not and I can't seem to get any better (if I don't drive an AWD car, that is)!

Won a Lotus F1 in my second prize spin. Sold it and took the million. Project Cars has given me my fill of open-wheel and honestly I don't think Forza's physics lend themselves well to those kinds of cars.

Just won the jackpot prize for level 54 or so, it was a VW Beetle worth something like 16,000 credits, I suppose it was worth more than each of the the three prizes I received before it.

I don't know if anyone else experiences this. But I find that leaving the wheelspins for ages before using them results in better prizes. I kept on getting bad prizes, then I waited, got 1 million instantly, then a BAC Mono. I had the same thing in Horizon 2 as well.

You on road Atlanta is me on every track! :dopey: but I have fun, that N.A.R.T. has become and instant favorite car.

Overall though, those spins have been gold to me so I guess I should not complain too much, I am sitting on 100 cars now but there are still a bunch of goodies that I want. After all that complaining I bagged a Speed 8 just before bed! :)

Seriously, am I the only one who doesn't really mind about receiving mod packs as spin prizes? Yes, @SPhilli911, that can be a tad annoying, but I certainly can live with it - it's surely better than getting 1K credits!

No, you're not the only one. Credits I can race for and cars I can buy with the credits but mods aren't really worth blowing 300k a pack on.

I don't care much at all for the mod packs but if I get those in the spinner then that's fine with me. Better than getting nothing at all. Luckily you can sell those for money. I do have 1 dare mod I run quite often. It reduces the hp by 4% and pays out 10%. Presents a good challenge for sure.

I also have the purist dare mod that removes the ENTIRE hud. No lap counter, no shifter indicator, interior view, no track layout, and no placement position. That mod can be very tough on tracks you don't know, especially if those are at night. The dare mods like that are the only ones I use.
