Problems connecting bluetooth keyboard to ps3

I hope this is the right place for my post...

Yesterday, I tried pairing my wireless iMac bluetooth keyboard to my ps3. Saw a how-to on youtube about it and it seemed very easy . But off course, when I tried it, it didn't work.

When I let the ps3 scan for new bluetooth devices it just keeps on scanning without ever finding anything. At first, I thought it might be because my Mac was still on and in the same room. So I turned it off and tried again, but same result. Still scanning for more than 10 minutes after which I stopped trying.

To check if the problem lies with the keyboard or my ps3, I tried to pair my mobile phone. PS3 also couldn't find it, so I'm guessing the problem lies with my ps3. But as I'm no tech-wizzard, I'm at a loss here . Anyone else had this problem and know the solution?

Seems odd, I'm going to do some research about this problem. So how old is that bluetooth iMac keyboard?

Anyway, weirdest thing happened: tried it again just now and it worked like a charm. Strange that I had problems yesterday, don't understand why... I didn't do anything different than today...

Anywho, it works, so problem solved

I have a mini bluetooth keyboard, and I can't register it after entering the passkey several times.

Do I have to turn in on to charge it?

I believe that you should try plugging it in the ps3 and then try syncing the device with the PS3.
