Probably because they are only 100x100 (or smaller) images and they are also under 35 kb.

I have a very bad problem in attaching images. Everytime and i MEAN every time i try to attach an image it says "Website Not Responding" No matter how many times I try it again and again.

Yeh, it really really lags sometimes on GTPlanet, but apart from that, it's ok.

It's usually because they're in the throes of being told that they can't do it. vB checks user rights when they try to perform an action, rather than when deciding whether to show them the buttons for that action.

"Who's Online" shows that they're in the "Post Reply" page, but the Post Reply page is telling them that they don't have the rights.

And when Members are Invisible, they appear as Guests is that right?

I post pics then the browser crashes or times out...then when I try to re upload the pics it tells me that I already uploaded it but it never shows up....Like in my pets thread in the rumble strip...can anyone fix that?

I've experienced slow GTP lately, but last night just took the cake. It took me about 5 minutes to load the front page, then I gave up trying to get into the Test Forum. :grumpy: It's been seriously slow today as well.

Also, sometimes some of the little pictures don't load on the New Posts page. Sometimes the little envelope won't load, sometimes the little NEW! icon won't load, etc.

It's darn slow. These days. And its messed up.
I say. We Delete all the members. And Delete all the threads/posts and start all over again at 0.

Oh so now you spend most of your time here? :p

Super Supra, I don't think that's such a good idea.

Give me 13 good reasons why this should be done, and I'll (yes me!) do it.

I'm going to castrate someone if the site doesn't get faster.

Seriously. :D
Well, I'm sure there is someone within arm's reach of you 24/7 that you can start with. Why not do something constructive instead, like sending Jordan $10,000 to spend on server hardware?

Go easy on the smileys there.

Is there anyway to stop these bots or spiders from constantly browing the forums?

I mean there are more bot's browsing than actual members. Although it seems nowadays there are loads of people online, I remember once when there was just 3 people online including me.

Just go around deleting accounts, banning random members deleting threads, i'm sure that will solve the problem.

This site is having major problems :odd: it's getting pretty tedious now ! i mean will it ever get fixed ? this has been a few weeks now of the usual "web site not responding" :irked: c'mon Jordan ! pull yer finger out :p

I notice the most lag, or "stuck in the tar" when attaching files to a post. I wonder if when I experience that same lag is when someone else is also attaching a file.

Perhaps, if it can be attributed to that, attachments could be turned off. There are a lot of free hosting services out there that you could upload your image/file and simply provide a link or tag. That would free up a tramendous amount of resources for Jordan I would assume.

Also, I wonder how long it's been since a reboot has been done on the server, you know....just to kinda flush things out.

You send 5 grand, and I'll send the other half. I mean, I don't want to show anyone up by sending in money.

To be honest, I've never seen a forum that lets you upload files to its server like this. They're almost always required to be hosted elsewhere.

I'm still thinking that it's the 150 or so 'bots' that are here 24/7, i'm sure we don't need that many to get publicity.

I'm terribly sorry, guys, I'm just as fed up as you all are. Right now I'm looking at a completely new server but it is not in stock at the moment. Hopefully this torture won't last much longer. :(
