Hi. I am 25 hrs into the game and I have to keep going back to buy cars which I cant afford to finish off 1 or 2 stars. In group b there are 3 cars u need in one champion ship. Money is so tight so u can't buy more. The handling of hyper cars is broken in some cases. And the settings mess the game up. Itels really confusing. Sometime it handles great and then the car will stop dead in corners. Livery changes to default in championships. Really like this game but want more money. I only have 4 cars. And don't want to sell them just to go back for a couple of stars I don't get. Weird set up. What do u think. I am stuck at group A and can't progress as I need a berlinetta, Italian sports and can't afford it. We're do u get extra money in game as in custom events you don't get it. Oh. Keep getting booted out of online and I have great Internet

Lobby's are broken, booted in and out all the time . Crashes in game. I love the progression but no dosh for getting all these nice cars I have 4 cars after 25 hrs game play. Stingy. And I have to sell one or 2 to progress to get more cars for group A to continue. Head scratcher

Career progression and the lack of credits make the career a massive grind. There’s just no sense of reward at all. Very poorly executed/thought out IMO.
I hear ya. So frustrated. Trying get xp online as well is low. I. Live how it looks on 4 k xbox for me. But I can't afford any more cars at group A and have 100k in bank I don't wanna waste

Also some of the handling in certain cars is terrible. But some it's amazing. Weird. Do u think it will be patched.i am lucky u am game share. I am persevering for now but career mode is a bit stalled today. I am in 25 hrs in and can't move on. With grid I completed that 69 odd cars and 23 million in the bank at the end... This is the opposite. Not enough dosh for cars.

I hope they fix it going forward otherwise its a waste of 75 quid for us all

Hers my suggestion., they give us some credits say 500k.at least we can get the progression going as its dead at the moment. I was getting 500 k in grid per race toward the last dlc

I know is boring as hell but you can get a tons of xp by grinding the oval in Mojave desert. Doing 99 laps in a Formula X will reward you with 1,400,000 xp in about 50 minutes. Legendary difficulty and no class restrictions. I know.. boring.

I was at level 3 and i started doing the breakout at monza with the Lamborghini Huracan GT3 and i was getting around 57K XP each round went from level 3 to 5 around 30 minutes or so. super easy and fast to grind.

Dialing up AI difficulty: 2% per level, except Legendary, which gives 4%. Which means that for most folks, dialing up the difficulty to get extra XP is just not worth the risk in terms of grinding XP.
Buying a car outside of career mode? Forget about it, because you'll gimp your career in terms of credits.
Why are there even car-specific events in the career, which you HAVE to do or you won't be able to progress to the latter parts of the class, but there's not enough credits to go around to naturally progress. You MUST grind. But why would I repeat career events if I don't get the target XP anymore? Because without it, they're just crap short events with little XP.

It's just all very poorly thought out. I'm loving the driving aspect of this game and the career events themselves, but the whole progression thing is borked AF.

Totally agree with all that. Currently just doing nordschliffe with gta open cars. It's loads of fun but I wish I could use them in the career mode or earn enough. Hoping career gets a buff somewhere along the line. Got 200k now after online today bit scared to use it and be back at square one for next championship. Nismo and porsches all amazing in gta open class. As they should be. Some great tracks too, sense of speed is good. That's why it's frustrating. Just needs a few tweeks here and there. Otherwise have to jump back on f1 which I live and carry on season 2.

Picked the Lotus for the British C-class events. Of course it gets totally smashed on the straights. ~82k wasted. No more cash left, also can't progress the career. Only thing to do is grind credits. This is such poor design. The career can't support itself, you MUST grind outside of it (or grind inside of it and rip your hairs out).

Oh, did I mention that when you spend 10k to unlock a part of the career because you can't progress and only AFTER unlocking it mentions you need another expensive car you didn't have the cash for to begin with? WTF.

Backup the save before you buy a car so if it doesn't work out just restore that save. It may be the only solution to the crappy money problem of this game.

It appears to be a glitch, but right now doing the daily event seems to give you a stupid amount of credits. Mine increased by around 300,000 after I finished it.

Yeah there seems to be a money glitch with the ps4 version remember the ps4 version is one version behind the pc/xb1 versions so the glitch may not apply to those two versions.

I guess I didn't need to worry about money raining from the sky like in a Forza game, making it completely pointless. Setting aside the exploit(s), of course.

I'm cool with some grinding, but it sounds like some adjustments ought to be coming.

Yes, I am on PC and I get squat.:) I ground some outside of Career and bought the 959 anyway, around $7,000 left. Bless you PS4 peeps.:)

Exactly. I just bought berlinetta over 100k plus and still can't get the last hit lap times and it's maxed out

Well to be fair i'm still waiting for the standard version to unlock  i was playing the pc version but gonna make the switch since it'll be better to play it on a 55" 4k then a 15'6 laptop. :D

Oh my... Yesterday I saw something funny and quite annoying. So the guy on the stream I was watching just unlocked the GT A class in career. Time to buy a new car! He bought the first car the McLaren 720 GT3. First hot lap event and he noticed the car poor performance. Ok, changing car time. He bought the Ford GT GTE and problem solved. He completed the hot lap and a few races with ease. Then the first "GT3 championship" came. So he entered the "GT3 championship" full of confidence with his GTE. First race at Oulton Park. Right after the race started a pack of 5 cars is pulling off and despite almost perfect driving he can't catch them. Race finished and suprise the 5 top cars were all Sesto Elemento. It is so op compared to other race cars that is not even funny. GT3 and GTE lobbies will be full of Sestos online... and those are also my favorite classes to race.. Oh, well.

Same, but right now there's just no wiggle room at all. E.g. if you happen to pick the Escort for the Ford event in E-class you're left with no cash, but there's a Mustang event shortly after. Which leaves you dead in the water. Apart from the fact that the Escort is just the wrong choice for that event, it gets eaten alive by the Mustangs, even with upgrades. I'm sure a skilled driver could make it work, but the average Joe will stop here and toss the game aside.

Yeah that's it in a nutshell. Last night til 5 am I was doing custom events and 2 or 3 man lobbies in mp. Now I had some great races. Trying to farm xp. I am just shy of level 10 and get 18k per level up. Which is nice but so so slow. I will say the cars I drove were amazing. I ended up with 300k. So I put the toyota gt up to hyper car... Wow its amazing. Rwd as well. Also bought a Caterham in gtc. Which is lovely. Like I say some great tracks to drive. Just watching f1 practice now. Then back to the grind. I had to go back and buy merc amg for group d for 1 star hot lap. And I still couldn't get it. 1.30 to complete the whole of group E fully maxed and I can't clinch it. Apparently wen fully complete these open up invitational individual races.. I love the game bit not its career mode right now. But the handling is a lot better group c and above

Was that the Audi 90 event? On Xbox I did it about 10 times and got normal rewards.

Well so far my impression is not good. First off is the handling. I am on the PC using a Fanatec CSR Elite wheel and there is a sloppy area at the center in this game, roughly one inch of dead zone and it is almost impossible to just drive in a straight line as there is no feel in the center and the car keeps wanting to wander off to the right or left, very annoying and extremely bad when in close quarters with other cars or near a wall.

The tuning options suck compared to previous titles, while it is great that they added upgrade parts and allow more cars to be tune able they took away many tuning options that had been there is PC1 and 2.

It also appears they decided not to have track/car/class leaderboards which they had in the previous 2 titles.

Initial impression is that it feels more like a NFS Shift than a PCars or Forza.

Edit: I also seem to have found a bug in the upgrades. I had added a Turbo and an adjustable trans to the initial car, drove it a while and took off those parts. the PIR went back down but when I took it to the track it still drove like those parts were on it and was about 18mph faster than it was before I added them.

How much CR did you earn after getting all that XP?

It was a YT video that I saw. I tried the same race but got 3 other Formulas X. The guy in the video was the only one in a Formula X. They were so fast that the first one laped me 4 times and the second 2 times. Short story I didn't get the leading bonuses. I managed to collect 600k during the race. But than a cold shower. The game rewarded me with only 180k exp which was enough for 31,000 Cr. :banghead:

So my final position is 27th in the Rivals leaderboard after my 10 attempts..not sure how bad that’s gonna be when it ends

The British C-class events are really annoying. I went with the Caterham but it just can’t compete at Hockenheim - the grip levels the AI has is just blowing me away!

As someone who initially opted for the Vantage AMR for C-Class events, the AI at the Hockenheim event were ridiculously quick for me too. :boggled:

I also bought the C8 because it was 50% off in the showroom. I could afford it at that point, but I hope spending cash for an extra (discounted) C-Class vehicle won't make obtaining more high-end cars too much of a struggle later down the line.
