About the Ferrari Pack: why the 458 Speciale Aperta? Isn't the closed 458 Speciale better in every way, performance wise?

I think similar performance wise, and more interesting. For now we have only Zonda as a roadster. I personally love 458 Speciale Aperta :) I hope it will fit Road C class because this class doesn't have any Ferrari :D

I prefer coupé, personally. Performance won't be significantly different, of course, but the hard-top is always better. Also, it's kind of ridiculous to drive with the top down in the rain (no control over it). They could bring the Aperta but with the cockpit closed. Unfortunately, if the menu image for the car looks open, then that's how the car will probably look like.

They should add additional button to assign for closing the roof ;) ;)

Indeed.

Also, allow me to indulge in some thinking. I'd like to leave my idea of what will be on the Porsche Pack and Le Mans Icons pack. Based on what's been found on the game's files and other clues and a bit of pattern discovering with common sense. By the way, check the PCARS 2 Season Pass page and you'll find that the next two expansions will have 9 cars now, instead of 8. They updated it.

Porsche Pack (9 cars):
- 908
- 917K
- 917LH (The car the helmet references, the Langheck 917 had a Martini livery)
- 917 10K
- 935
- 961
- 959
- Carrera GT
- 911 RSR

Le Mans Icons (9 cars):

- 1968 Ford GT40 (The car the helmet references, 60s old helmet, plus Gulf colors)
- 2016 Audi R18 e-tron (This and the TS050 are not Ferrari or Porsche, but they are a part of the "Holy Trinity" of modern LMPs, so where else are they going to come other than the Le Mans pack?)
- 2016 Toyota TS050
- 2016 Porsche 919 (Could have come on the Porsche pack, but it's in better company of it's direct rivals, wouldn't you say?)
- 1991 Mazda 787B (Only Japanese car to ever win Le Mans - to date)
- 1993 Peugeot 905 (Peugeot was found, as a manufacturer, in the files. Yet, since no 208 RX came in the Fun Pack, this means one thing: their Le Mans efforts)
- 2009 Peugeot 908 HDI FAP (new LMP1 diesel class)
- 2008 Audi R10 TDI (And because SMS try to create a new class with at least one or two other competitors to spice things up...)
- 2010 Audi R15+ (Let's recreate the epic Audi vs Peugeot days)

I think we will get only Audi R18-Etron, TS050 and 919 from LMP1 classes. I highly doubt that we will get LMP1Diesel class.

And i still hope for some GT2 class action. For making great multi-class races with GT1 class.

Yeah, maybe diesel LMP1 is too unlikely. On the other hand, what could be on the pack? Could there be LMP2 additions? That would surprise me.

I’d say your prediction of the Porsche pack seems spot on, however I’m not so sure about the Le Mans Icons. My main reasoning being that only one of the cars you mentioned (Ford GT40) raced at Le Mans before the chicanes were added on the Mulsanne straight and we should be receiving that version of the track so it seems slightly strange that we would only get one period correct car in the pack. Ian also mentioned in a livestream that the pack would come with “certain cars for it” which leads me to believe we should be getting more older stuff than newer stuff. I remember a user called “Alxander” came up with a similar list basing it off of text descriptions he found in hacked game files, but I don’t think there was any way he could have had actual names for the cars from the evidence he provided unless there’s something I missed.

I think like Ashraf Abba. The pack will be mainly focused on Historic cars with 3 lmp1 cars (Toyota, Audi and Porsche). Maybe 911 RSR too.

Lmp1 diesel in its own class would be awesome also add in the Aston Martin DBR 1-2 Lola which challenged the Diesels too.

I think it will be somewhat of a shame if the Porsche DLC adds nothing but more extra-powerful and mostly boosted cars. Not that I won't get a kick out of the 917's savage acceleration, the Carrera GT's noise (hopefully), or scrabbling around corners sideways in the 959 or 961, but...how about a bit of variety?

Don't know if anyone else has noticed this yet, but this Hot Wheels Porsche 917LH has started popping up in stores, with a huge Project Cars 2 logo at the top. This was one of the cars found in the game files, but this tells us that it could be out quite soon... Valetines Day gift perhaps?

That's intriguing.

8 of 10. It should show the other cars in the series on the back. What are they?

"The design for Porsche Leipzig's unique, FIA-certified circuit and the new dynamic circuit was created by Hermann Tilke, designer of numerous Formula 1 circuits such as those in Malaysia and Bahrain. Together with the Porsche project team he implemented a very special idea: 11 spectacular curves inspired by world-famous racing circuits, ranging from the Suzuka S (Suzuka/Japan) to the Parabolica corner (Monza/Italy) have been incorporated. The extension of the circuit has created a new highlight, an accurate copy of the Karussell (Carousel), the famous banked curve on the Nordschleife (North Loop) of the Nürburgring."

I'm aware, yet the FIA don't list it as a graded circuit (which requires certification).

Despite that, you can mark my words that Porsche Experience Centre Leipzig is the new track being added to the game.

It may well be, and if it is I'm happy (it would be nice if we got all the layout options for it as well - including the experience and testing ones).

I just find the anomaly odd between the FIA and Porsche, it may however be down to the lack of actual race events at Leipzig.

NEW TRACK:
Porsche Experience Centre Leipzig

NEW CARS:
Porsche 908/03 Spyder
Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8
Porsche 911 RSR
Porsche 917/10
Porsche 917K
Porsche 935/78
Porsche 935/78-81
Porsche 959 S
Porsche Carrera GT

Doesn't match with the leaked list.

My guess:
991 RSR
908/03
917/10
917K
917LH
961
959
Carrera GT
Moby Dick 935
