So...first impressions of Fiorano...for a testing track, it's actually OK.

Not something I'm going to play a hell of a lot in the future, but took the F40 for a spin around it and it was good fun.

Obviously the lack of pit lane makes it awkward for doing any sort of long race around here and the obvious Ferrari-only limitations car-wise. But still, its a nice addition to the game and certainly better for it.

Cool to think of all the history of the track when you're driving round. Schumacher, Mansell etc testing around here in classic Ferraris.

F40 is quite fun too. Horrendous understeer, but it sounds amazing and I'm looking forward to taking it around other circuits.

Here's my extended initial thoughts:

The new Ferraris are great fun, and for me the pick of the bunch are old and new, the 250 GT Berlinetta and the F12tdf!!! The Berlinetta is wonderful!

Well well well ...

Last news! People have reported that they have seen a happy hamster driving some Ferrari!

Here's the proof :

I wish SMS would announce something at least that there is no dlc or there is. It has been quiet a lot.

Problem is, if they came out and said "that's your lot folks - no more DLC on PC2 apart from the occasional patch of fixes", everyone would bombard the forums with "THIS GAME IS DED. WE NEED NU CONTENT".

Better to say nothing at all imo.

On the other hand, if there is going to be more content, give us a nudge and wink SMS so we can keep the #Hype going.

Are the listed cars 1993 Nissan Skyline R32 Group A and 1979 Nissan 280ZX GTX the same as the in-game 1991 Nissan Skyline GT-R (BNR32) Group A and 1981 Nissan 280ZX IMSA GTX?

If the PC1>PC2 window stays the same for PC2>PC3, do we now face a year+ of nothing? No patches, no DLC...

PC1's last patches (minor stuff, some VR and Steam things and the Pagani Nürburgring Combined Track Expansion DLC) came in May '16 so basically one year post launch, SMS were done with the game. Then a year and a half (Sept'17) later, PC2.

We are sitting in the same window, if SMS stay on course (and don't let the mobile game slow the timeline of PC3). A year after launch, and the DLC is done unless there are things SMS have kept tight lipped about (and they generally trumpet DLC well in advance to drum up enthusiasm).

That's not a model that makes much sense, with the game still exhibiting bugs and a base that is probably only too happy to shell out for DLC tracks and cars. I think SMS will do themselves a world of good if they keep up the patches and narrow the issues that we will have to worry about being ported to PC3, and a shot of extra cash for a few cars and tracks might help with the hiring for the PC3 team...

What do you think?

Or should we just suck it up for 18 months or so with things the way they are now?

Last day of the season pass sale in de Playstation Store. Still not sure whether to buy it or to gamble that the deluxe edition will become available for 20-25 Euro's during black friday in the PS store.

Season Pass is 65% off for PS+ users (50% off for regular PS users, I think).

Some of the earlier packs are also on sale.
That's good.
It's kind of odd that season pass doesn't go on sale on Steam though.

If you already have the game, then buy the Season Pass today - the classic Ferrari's and Porsche's in it are well worth the cost!

Yeah biggest issue is that I would like to get the game digital ( I have it on disc now ). On the otherhand if the deluxe goes on sale the standard version will do so as well

I'm still waiting for the complete edition. :dopey:  :P

Popped in Gran Turismo 6 the other days and cleaned up a few more trophies for platinum.

Oh well RDR2 will keep me occupied for a long time. By then I'll be waiting for Pcars3 to go on sale. :dunce:
