I could not control that car to save my life
Try turning some of the driver aids on, especially stability control, it might help. I'd assume the real car would make use of some electronic gizmos to keep it on track.

I'm definitely going to try that car again. The liveries to choose from are phenomenal.

I don't use aids anymore. Actually, If, I believe it was one of you guys who suggested I set it on authentic.

This way I only get the aids that are supposed to be with that car.

I'm a firm believer that there should be a divide between poor and average and great and elite anything.

So, in a strange way, I like the fact that there are cars I'm just not good enough to handle. It simply highlights how much skill it takes by the elite drivers to handle those cars.

But I can't wait to try it again. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that @Chikane will share a set up with me.

Stability and traction control are authentic for a modern supercar. About all of them are designed with the intention to be driven under computer control, now.

With a PS4 Standard :

Anyone knows if Project Cars 2 drops below 60 fps in a 720p TV in rain conditions ?

Or anyone knows a way to achieve stable 60 fps in rain conditions ?

Thanks in advance !

It rarely hits 60fps in the dry no matter what. Maybe on the Pro or X but in my experience you're looking at around 50fps on average at best. Still playable of course.

Turn off all graphical options, screen dirt/rain, sun blooms, processing filter, everything.

Then choose a weather forecast that doesn't produce shadows, maybe overcast is your best bet, you might get away with hazy. If you want rain use heavy, as light rain still produces sun rays through the clouds which produce shadows. You might get away with storm but don't use thunderstorm.

Turn off accelerated time of day.

Use cockpit cam not helmet cam & turn off all g-force/camera tilt settings + lock your fov.

All these extra little details that can be turned off will help.

Hopefully :)

Won't helmet cam without the helmet and blur effect run the same as cockpit? That's how mine is set up.

Also I've tinkered with the graphical effects on my PS4 and not noticed them making any difference to performance.

Having less AI in the race may do though.

Just started to get back into PC2 after probably 8 months of not playing and man the cars handle so much better than before, what the hell happened? Lol. Theres many other tweaks I see too like gear shift animations look faster, cars rotate better when turning the wheel etc.

You've also got look to apex, camera & head tilting which isn't used on cockpit.

I saw a frame rate video (can't remember which) but turning off everything that can be turned off helps a little for xbox one s & normal ps4.

Just trying to help, I'm on the 1X so I don't really have a lot of issues.

I remember AC on console had frame rate issues if you had too many AI. Another reason I stopped playing it. Really hoping for smooth performance in the next game on all platforms.

Car count is one of the big offenders to frame rate. While its fun to have 32 cars on track, you're only ever racing against a few at a time, and the ones that matter number less than 10. Think the car in front, behind, alongside if you're three-wide, that's 6 cars including you. Add a few more in front and back and 16 seems like a good number. You'll still feel like you're racing a full field and frame rate will be better.

Is there a way to change the pit setup so that tires are first? That's how it is IRL in most cases.

I thought it did that anyway, my tyres get changed 1st then I'm waiting for the fuel to finish before I get let go.

It all sort of starts at the same time.

For me, it's fuel first, then tires. I don't know how to get them to do both.

In most series in real life its usually tires and fuel at same time that's why it seems like fuel goes second but it just lasts longer than changing tires). Or finish fuel first then tires which is what WEC is switching back to for the 2019/2020 season

Well, I was doing my own Spa 24 Hours and... 6 1/2 hours gone after the power went out. I don't know if it was because my PS4 stayed in Rest Mode all week or not.

The final patch was Dec 2018 but really it was not that significant in terms of changes to handling.

I don't play PC2 much, but I noticed that when I'm mid turn, the car suddenly understeers slightly, and repeats that over and over in the same turns even. Any suggestions? Thank you! I use a t300

Ask the mechanic in the game, but I want to say more camber. Probably wrong though.

Why does it seem with every PS4 update, this game gets worse and worse? If someone sneezes the game suddenly conjures up a new glitch. A new issue everyday.

Thanks for the tip!

Something's wrong with your PS4 if it is continuing to download non-existent updates this far out from the game's release, which create new glitches.

He said PS4 updates. Updates to Playstation

My league had a ton of issues getting everyone into our race lobbies after the last PS4 update. Constant disconnections - they have settled down now though.

I can't remember, my cousin was playing. But we started from Tier 6 and it was doing that with some of the "formula" cars, and then in tier 5 with one of the racecars (Ginetta) I think. It's weird. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. But midturn, holding steering wheel in same position, it'll slightly jerk to the left as if it understeers heavily, and it'll repeat that even multiple times in one turn.
