Someone said and I agree:

Darn, I'd hoped for a release in July

Well, beggars can't be choosers

That's a great time! Things are starting to get crowded after September so I'm glad they stuck to the Summer release window. 👍

I don't see mention of this tweet from yesterday yet (emphasis mine):

Stand out from the pack and customise with paint materials, paint colours, community- and motorsport-inspired livery patterns, sponsor decals, wheel rims, tyre brands. Customise your every dream car with your individual style in #ProjectCARS3.

Sounds like a good mix even if there are only patterns instead of vector-shape texturing. Sounds similar to Grid (the original at least, IDGAF about the reboot).

Yeah. That's a good thing to bring up. It's not GT Sport-esque. But it looks to be pretty alright. An editor like that just depends on how far it goes and what's customisable.

bit odd that they chose the AMG GTR as the cover car instead of the C8, usually games box art use the newer car instead of hiding it at the back.

I prefer the base game box art for the last game, it looks so much better and shows the variety of the game compared to the limited edition box art.

It is still a bit odd that they have the AMG GTR as the main car for pCARS 3, pCARS 2 uses the 720S since it the new car at the time. pCARS 3 box art looks a bit like GearClub box art for the Switch:

Car proportions are a little bit off on that coverarts...

With F1 2020 releasing on July 10th, Fast & Furious on August 7th and DiRT 5 on October 9th, I think that September 11th would make sense for Project CARS 3.

Come to think about it... car guys (and gals) like us are rather spoiled lately...

AutoMobiliSta 2 (AMS2) recently got released (PC only Boooo)
Assetto Corsa Competizione released this week on console
F1 2020 in July like you said
Fast & Furious in early August
Project Cars 3 in late August
DiRT 5 in October
the next Forza probably Holiday 2020
the next Need For Speed at some point
and "soon" GT7....

Anything to take out that GRID/The Crew bittersweet

There is a little bit for everyone to enjoy (and a lot to complain about lol) !

Start your engines ladies and gents.

Don't forget WRC 9 in September too.

Test Drive Unlimited 3 announcement s**n if rumours last month were to be believed

Hope this dosnet come out like the new assetto i just bought, with 30 frames per second and horrible jerkiness....

Fully unlimited PC3 track creator announced that allows you to create the circuits of your dreams.

Oh no wait, hang on! Come to think of it that was a dream I had last night. Carry on, forget I mentioned it. :p

If only...

OK, this is not good news in my view.

Looks like tyre wear is gone, fuel use is gone and pit stops are gone!

"The core tread temperature is locked"

"by removing tyre wear and fuel usage, we could in turn remove pitstops"

@IanBell - is this just in career or does it apply right the way across all modes?

Never used the pit stops much if I’m honest, but it still feels somewhat odd to see them gone. Wonder if this means you start a session on track rather than driving out the pits which is something I found quite immersive.

Made it before the meltdowns, I better get my seat ready.

The removal of those features isn't a deal-breaker for me, but I understand this will cause an upset with a considerable number of people. It's like GRID 2 pre-launch all over again! :p

Well, it works for me either way.

Now it's reminding me more of Project Gotham Racing, with the new city tracks and all. That's not a bad thing for me, if I'm honest.

Great news. They were all a mess in offline mode, fixed after many months with so many patches. Especially tyre temperature. I still have pcars2 for full simulation, there is no need for the same game. Different if it was planned for ps5.
