Well at least the DLC isn't a bunch of fake cars that will create bugs in every update, there's that to look forward to, and looking at the potential DLC there is a lot to be excited about,

The whole idea of SMS and the WMD was to stay away from the big publishers and restrictive first party companies, and create the perfect game. They felt they couldn't do that with paymasters.

Sony is far from a restrictive first party company. I don't think there's any publisher, third party or first party that lets their developers have more freedom than Sony does. Maybe not in every case but Sony is responsible for publishing some of the most unique games on the AAA market

That might be true, but can you imagine Sony allowing the title to go multi-platform?
 
Happy with the cars, just wish the mclaren mp4/4 was in.
 
First post after long time lurking. Is the '66 Mustang going to be DLC? Personally, old school muscle is my favourite class of car.

Its specific places that do the pre-order DLC. Check with the retailer first and see what they say.

Any digital version will include the pre-order bonus, with Steam version including the LE car pack as well...

Do you think one will benefit much if they preorder it/ buy the LE? It looks decent but I guess the cars could be unlockable quite soon

Yes, but there were still significant differences between the racecars and the production cars. The Mustang that Ian Geoghegan won the 1966 ATCC with had a Shelby-built motor with 385hp. However there were still big similarities in regards to things like brakes and suspension, which, when combined with the way PCars simulates all the details of the vehicle, would make for a truly awesome experience in game!
 
Anyway, the Pony in the game will be the street car.

well it's 8 more cars so that's a bonus. i don't think any info on if/when those packs will be available as DLC has been published yet and it's pretty much the same price as a regular edition disc from amazon so a lot of people here have gone digital on console too

I found a standard edition available for £35, Amazon have knocked the price down a little.

Is it really worth it to save a few bucks on a game you might be playing regularly for a year or two?

I would pre order it for the additional content if I already had a ps4, but I don't. Hopefully the extra content will be available as DLC in future, or a "complete edition" is released.
