Believe it or not that is all in game.

I choose the 'not' option... That is truly outstanding! Thanks for sharing. I've been following this thread for a while now and with every bit of discussion and every wonderful photo set, I get more excited about this game!

That actually has nothing to do with it. I haven't spent any money towards this game because I have not been following it closely enough to justify it. It doesn't bother me at all they worked for EA because the games they made under them, I did enjoy.

Everything else you posted, I am well aware of, though. I've been a big GTR/2 fan for many years now & believe it continues to give one of the best racing atmospheres in a sim with 36-65 car grids & 4-24 hour races. I was anxiously awaiting GTR3, but that appears to have become vaporware.

However, this looks to be filling that same void & the aforementioned development by former Simbin developers is a major plus. Watching some of the videos, this has a couple Shift elements in it as well as some GTR/2 ones. As you said, that's a hell of a recipe for a game.:)

I see, my bad. It was just that most people... you know. ;)
I guess its hard to take notice of something like this quickly. Kickstarter didn't get well known over night either. It's that I accidentally heard it via ISR that I got involved right away, else it might have been a while too for me, and maybe be too late.

Have you all redeemed your pCARS Steam keys? I would've thought you guys would've been all over that news...

^I sure have redeemed my steam key, and btw that was a beautiful trailer by JONZ, although it still can't match the trailer "Waiting for the Dark" released by chromatic9 aka PLM5...really sad he left WMD!

I did but I rather stick with the standalone version for a while longer until Steam gets a more stable implementation.
I used it for a moment but got performance issues with it as well as some crashes. Will be gone in by next week or the week after I reckon.

One thing I learned from testing stuff with anything I have tested before (games, fanatec drivers and firmware, applications and my own playing with code) is that you should always keep the old ways at hand until the new way of doing things stabilizes.
So I am not the type to jump the gun quickly anymore. Although I did in the beginning. So now I have two versions installed side by side. ;)

What did I miss? :O
Link please if there is one.

Now let me tell you this.

Even the graphics are not finished. The game will get better than that trailer by the time it comes out.

:D

Glad I kept the old one, too, the Steam build crashes if you race with AI, I get basically no frames per second with any settings and it crashes more often than not. Also it's funny, the Steam overlay works with my non-Steam version but not with my Steam version.

Awesome! I can't wait to get this running on my new pc :) This will probably have been discussed earlier on, but how do wheels feel on this game? I.plan to use my dfgt

Still no word on opening up to new members for PS4/next gen yet? I just saw the Steam news and thought I'd check in. I missed the deadline last year by about a week and have been keeping an eye out since then.

Has there been any progress on the talks about if they are going to release this on the ps3 this looks like a great game but I don't want to have to buy a ps4 just to be able to play it

The decision has not been made yet but do bear in mind the world is transitioning to next gen systems at the end of the year, you're going to have to buy a new console eventually to play any new games.

Fired up pCARS last night and noticed that SimDash was working. For those that are unaware SimDash is software from SymProjects that allow for real gauges to operate on your PC's, such as tachometers and speedometers.

You need a Rev Burner and a Tach. SimDash version 1.5.2 has just been released and can be found Here

SymProjects also just released "Pro Gauge" which is similar to a Rev Burner but will allow up to 8 gauges to work. I am not certain if it will work on pCARS ATM but I see no reason why it won't. You can see the Pro Gauge Here
