I've said it before, pad controls in the default mode are not the best. In general you do want the wheel to play properly.

Anyway, for the pad users, if you don't like the default, go into controller settings and try mode 2 instead of mode 3 (default) and increase one of the sliders (some sort of sensitivity...don't remember) which is set to 40 for that mode to maybe around 60-70 and give that a try. May feel better for you and less twitchy.

I think you have to remember Forza and Gt aren't Sims, they are far more forgiving, handling wise etc. I feel that if you gave it a go with a wheel you would have a different view.

I have no doubt that I would have a different view with a wheel. Don't get me wrong, the game looks great, sounds great, love it, it's just the XB1 controller intergration is poor. Yes I should get a wheel, but 90% of people who buy this on xb1 won't have a wheel either. If anyone can point to some settings to try, I'm all ears. Thanks guys

Look above!

Less than two hours away...!

Oh wait, I'm still in school. Not going to be home for another few hours...

Alan from VVV mentioned that all 3 default pad control modes on Xbox were far too twitchy in one of his videos. There is a ton of options though, I'm sure someone will post a good setting soon enough.

Well I'll be picking up the preorder tommorow (hopefully) and smashing it out for a few hours. Can't wait.

How is the online environment on PS4 at the moment, is it stable/reliable with a lot of activity? Is it easy to {a} find and {b} join a room?

Well it'll be a day of sneaky peeks at GTP while I'm at work, counting down 8hrs of work, then another 2-3hrs of family time, then I will hopefully turn my PC on and Steam will tell me I can hit the 'Play' button...
I guess by the time I configure all the settings I might get a few laps in before midnight :)

I just noticed this, on Steam, the release turned from the 7th to the 6th and it'll be officially released on Steam in 2 hours!

I did realize that yesterday when I came back home to check. And now we're less than 70 minutes away from the unlock (and the 'Day One Patch')...!

(Except I'm still in school and I have to do one of my mid-term exams pretty soon.)

I'm glad it's out in less then and hour here. Tomorrow is my wife's birthday and I can't blow her off for a game. Or can I? Lol.

Just had the most exciting kart race I've ever had in a video game. Uploading a video now. :D

This game, man.
More to come. I think karts are not as refined as some other cars/classes, so if you are enjoying this you'll be very impressed with the rest of it.

If @LogiForce isn't onboard in some way for pcars 2 I'm going to be upset. Just reading your posts and picturing you as a little anime character (from your picture) makes me really look forward to eventually getting to play pcars.

Ian Bell personally requested me to stay onboard for Project CARS 2 as it would be a big loss (his words) if I wasn't.

Now... who could reject the big wookie's... eh big boss' personal request. So I said "Yes!".
Also lots of WMD members didn't wish to see me leave either. So with that much resistance it's quite impossible to leave. ;)

Edit:
Btw, about my image...
Although nowadays I wear RayBan Aviators in gold with green glasses. The same as Tom Cruise used in Top Gun (they do attract the attention of ladies as I found out today). :p

Can anyone tell me if you can change what car you are watching during a replay? Only follows my car and I can't change it. XB1 version

You can't. At least not yet, maybe something they will implement in the future. You can watch cars in the pits during qualifying/ practice

Congrats dude you've obviously been a vital cog in the engine on the wmd site.
Hopefully I get a chance to join in the next project.

Thanks mate. I hope you can get onboard when the time comes. :)

@everyone looking to get onboard the next train

Although a fare warning for everyone who does... please treat the WMD forum as a digital office and workplace. This means that you have to respect SMS employees, moderators and fellow WMD members as colleagues. Give constructive feedback and provide proper bug reports so that a SMS employee can reproduce the issue on his end.

That said us old WMD members from the first project will be there to guide you guys. Of course you can also just look at how we operate and mimic the behavior of the old gang. ;)
In the end treating each other as colleagues and such is simply to do with a few facts. The first is mutual respect, but more importantly we also have the same mindset of trying to help the project along in a productive way by giving factual feedback (or as factual as we can be, since feelings can be abstract).
