I won the Clip Cup and in just my first season of GT5 I've got 6 wins and I'm leading the championship by a huge margin (70% AI). Hope this gets me a GT4 contract or something. Even if it doesn't the Ginetta G40 is a brilliant car to drive...fits my style perfectly. :D

Anybody know when we're getting the pitcrew guys back? :P
 
Since there was much work done to the Pitcrews just before release, i think this will be one of the new features to be added earlier than later. Nobody on WMD has seen the latests developments though.
 
I just did a 100% race at Laguna seca in a Mercedes gt3. I did 3 pit stops one at lap 10 one at lap 18 and one at lap 26. In the end i had a tough battle competing for 5th, 6th and 7th i came 6th in the end. It was a tough race i set a few personel best laps i led the race for 2 laps. Now ive got the main race which is 42 laps lets hope i can get top 5 this time :)

Was that with accelerated tire wear though? Seems like a lot of stops for such a short distance.

Yeah i think so its at x7. What would be the best to put the tire wear at? i want to make the races as realistic as possible. I enjoy the long races as it feels good when i pass a driver after lining up a move for the last 5 laps.

So you're telling me no work has been started on safety cars... at all? So how can someone else speculate that safety cars could be coming with Indy/Ovals which have had work started on?

Seems like the left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing.
 
Does anybody have any ideas why there is a complete lack of tunes in the tune section and championships in the online section?

Lots of people have PCars, but there doesn't seem to be a lot going on.

Is this purely down to bugs or are people having to much fun in offline?

I plan on doing tunes but it's a bit too early for me. I'm spending time in free practice learning the game physics and options. I want to be more familiar with the game before producing completed tunes.
 
The following video of mine is why this is the best racing game ever imo.

Oulton Park in the Clio Cup - the first race the car was totally hooked up in the dry,i did about 7 straight laps of mid 1:08's but 2nd place kept one second back from me - then on the last lap i clipped a kerb heavily,and he took me with half a lap left!! Frustrating but such a brilliant realistic race.

Onto the 2nd race,it started raining heavy so i changed to Inters in the pit stop...i lost ground on the following laps but as it got dryer i picked up the pace and the video is of the last few laps battling to get into the top ten. Some of the best offline racing ive ever experienced.

Btw its on the pad! ;)

for all of us wheel users who disable the wheel when we play, i really wish there was an option to put it back on during the replays; that video up there makes me miss it, not enough to enable it again when i'm actually playing, but it would be a nice touch though.

Yes:sly: There will be some of each and no one knows at this point how much of one or the other is coming.

Have you tried enabling the visual wheel in the options and then watching the replay? I know in Assetto Corsa if you do that, the wheel appears in the replay even if it wasn't on during the original lap.

thanks I'll try that, just means I'd have to save every replay because I don't think options can be accessed until after that point.

Ahh...I see what you mean. I thought you were talking about recorded replays but you meant replays that you watch immediately after the race. Yes that would be nice option.

Great video. BEST "racing" game available right now. Love Oulton Park too.
 
so I'm setting up an online lobby, chosen everything I want and now am trying to set the car class but every time I then go to create my car class hasn't been selected and my previous class is still all there. any tips? don't think I had this problem the other night. also is it possible to force everyone to use just one car?

First part I dunno, try to create a new lobby again. Second, yes it's an option.

I see the where it says all opponents indentical, so that means AI or human, right? but the rest is not happening. for example, the car I have selected as shown at the bottom is the Radical SR8. if I go into setup and choose Kart as the class then go back to the main screen the Radical pic is still there and if I go to create lobby and go into select car in there only the track day cars are selectable as that's where the SR8 is grouped.
 
Monaco in the LMP1s is just ridiculous. It's a total free for all with avoiding the AI in the slow bits, attempting to make it round the hairpin is tough especially with the AI trying stupid overtakes round it.

Well back to the hairpin with me struggling in 7th there was quite the ludicrous sight of a full on 15+ car pile up at the hairpin presumably caused by another bone headed move with luckily just enough room on the inside. So with my badly damaged car crabbing horribly to the left minus engine cover and the front nose section of the car to squeeze through and take an easy win...
