It's just frustrating that so many things were hyped up on their website, on their forums and this one, along with various YouTube videos showing content that they are now possibly holding back for several years. And not possibly having the priority of putting it on this game and then adding more new content for Project Cars 2.*

Heck, I even worry about some of the planned features for PCars 2 since Mr. Bell called safety cars "boring" for the reason not to implement them even though it's a sim...

**But we must remember that almost all major developers pull this crap too, so SMS isn't the only one. I just wish that they (SMS) would go against the standard regarding this.

But they have gone against it regarding DLC quality and price :).

Don't get me wrong, I love SMS, I'm just frustrated at some things that they've done and what could possibly happen.

I mean i can understand why they are holding these feature's back. Like the pit stops and custom championships along with other huge things like that. Because if they was to add it to the game it would pretty much destroy the game lol. Like being unplayable because a 🤬 load of bugs. But the thing that's kinda frustrating me is them adding things that's not huge. Like for example a chat box..... Come on now.... Every game just about has a chat box and it's taking them long to give it to us console player's. I get tired of backing out to the home screen and sending people messages. It would be so much easier doing it from in game. Like i said they added some really great and useful things to the game. But stuff like a chat box should of been in the game from the start. I'm asking for small additions to the game except for the ability to name your rooms online. I know that probably go take a lot of work to add. But the other stuff i just named should be easy to add to pcars 1 and not be saved for pcars2.

It will be interesting to see how pcars2 sells. After this game I have been completely cured of the preorder disease and when pcars2 comes out there will be a lot more racing titles on the market ( hopefully bug free) so SMS will be dealing with that along with a lot of people's bad experiences with the present title.
SMS will have to really sort out pcars and release a stable bug free pcars2 or I think they will suffer with poor sales of it.

I think the hardest market will be for PS4, there's going to be Asseto Corsa and possibly GT Sport or even GT7 (depending on what PD means as "soon".).

I really hope PCars 2 is a huge success though. But yeah, it will be a greater challenge.

Actually I think I will still preorder pcars 2. Yes they may have withheld things that were promised but it is nowhere near as bad as what UniSoft is doing with the division or what gran turismo has been doing since 20xx. Plus, I was apparently lucky with only having a few minor bugs throughout my play and 1 or 2 major ones. No grudge held here. (Doesn't mean I won't also get gt sport or assetto corsa ps4)

While looking over the liveries of the Megane Trophy, I noticed 2 of the liveries have Aperture Laboratories from Valve's Portal series.

Steam partnership being shown.

Just loaded free practice with the BMW M1 Procar at Bathurst, and the game gave me red paint Procar. :odd: It is street car paint, not race liverie. (I didn't go into garage and select a livery.) Is this the rumored Christmas gift? I quite like the red paint.

No unfortunately it's a bug. All the cars are modled in red for some reason so the red you see is basically the car naked!

Here you go. Merry Christmas.
This is one bug I don't mind. Its only ever happened to me in a BMW though. I unfortunately didn't take pics of the M1 Procar.

So I decided to buy this game!

Being a GT player, I don't really have many racing peripherals such as wheels and things, which is a-okay. Keyboard + mouse was an... interesting idea, so I switched to plugging in the DS3 and taking it from there.

Goodness, I am enjoying it oh so much, thank you to everyone who recommended it! :) It's a different experience to GT, and to help me get used to it I've set the AI skill to 55 and kept a few aids on, but it's still a fun experience. Looks and feels nice! The little touches such as being radio'd by your crew and mandatory pitting is both new and exciting for me, something I do hope GT adds in the future (yet it'd be fine if not, as these games seem to be different experiences!)

Currently in the Clio Cup, Tier 7 of the career I think? Sorry if not! It's been a fun three seasons so far and I do hope to reach endurance-racing someday :)

So despite all its quirks and things it may need to build upon in the future, pCars is a very very nice game indeed <3

Thank you again, do hope you all enjoy it too - and well done to SMS!

I'm interested in getting Project CARS for the Xbox One, but I do not have a racing wheel. I've heard that the game is a little dodgy with a game pad. Is it worth getting now, or should I wait until I have a wheel?

Well, I should hopefully be picking up a copy of pCARS for the PS4 tomorrow for a pretty low (considering how new it is) $47 AUD, I've been a bit skeptical about it, but for that price, I couldn't resist any longer. It was a bit hard to decide on whether to get it due to the mixed reviews, but I shall take the dive. I've already found some controller settings and I'll test them to see which suits me the best. I'll probably report back here with my thoughts on it after a bit of time playing it.

If you use the highest sensitivity in GT6 you won't have to change the default IMO. When I got the game I turned down the sensitivity straight away because people where complaining but my car didn't seem to turn quickly enuf.

pCARS was 'dodgy' with a pad upon release but it's very good with a pad nowadays imo

It is ok to play Project Cars with a gamepad but you will be happy when you've got your wheely .
I play with a DS4 and I love it. Getting it to feel right took about 1h on launch day. I would love a wheel but I don't have the space.

Just found out what "landmines" are. Geesh I don't know how any of you play online, in a 3 lap race at hockenheim in the 2002 BMW my car "exploded" 4 times.

Welcome to the PS4 console club ,

Thats is one of the reasons why i stopped playing online race .
Not only landmines but also invisibly walls and bricks you will encounter .
We have also some crashes to the main screen for sale or grinding of steering wheel .
Not speaking of the many lag some people have online .
Or ....... the slow/boring AI and if you put them on 100% they go loco .
Or .... sound issue or ...and so on and so on ......

Still not an awful game though right?

Does it have to do with everyone's connection? I ask because some opponents had poor connection and were teleporting all over the track.

It's not just online as I never play online and still get a lot of the issues.
