Bug splats - audio?

I have been hit in the face shield while racing karts and in our Spitfire which uses a dirt track mesh style screen.. and they just make tick sounds... larger bugs make a larger tick.. like rocks that you wipe off. curious what they mean..
 
I have a question, has it been decided yet if the game is capable of handling the Nurburgring 24hours circuit?

When hitting a bug on a motorcycle some of the impacts can be pretty dang loud. I'm just surprised SMS is going to that length to include the audible splat of bugs. Not a complaint of course, just surprised.
 
I must admit, I mostly played Gran Turismo because of its driving licenses and the driving missions. I love that kind of stuff. I also play mostly the special events in Assetto Corsa.

So, are there any license tests, missions, special events planned for Pcars?

If there's audio, it surely means the windscreen will get dirty over time. For helmets, I think they already included tear-off animations. I've seen that in some patch notes.

So almost 11 weeks till release. How is the development of the game going on? I hear there is still a looot of work to do. With an day 1 patch, they really have 11 weeks to finish it up.

Can we say, with the actual build, the game is almost finished? Career mode, online, rating system, physics, cars, tracks etc.? Is it completely playable? Would you say it can go gold now?

From what I saw on the latest builds on YT the game still needs a lot of work. I don't understand how they can do this until release. Especially the AI in Formula A needs so much work.
 
Has it been known whether Project CARS will allow players to suspend an endurance race in the middle of it, and resume racing the next time the game is run? I mean something like GT5, in which players can suspend an endurance race during pit-stops.

I really hope there is an option to do that, I would be afraid to keep my PS4 on for a solid week, plus, if a power outage happens, you lose all of your race progress. A race save would prevent that.
 
I just had the best online race so far on project cars and i bet you cant guess what i was racing in more than 10 posts!

I'm quite concerned about the modern touring car catagory, there isn't anything for it but the Renault Clio Cup and then a big jump to the DTM Mercedies which itself is a Ltd edition only car. From the career page image it was supposed to go Clio, Megane Trophy, S2000 Touring Cars then DTM, I carn't see that hapening at launch

Oh no need to be mad at me, I'm not a WMD member. I am just as eagerly anticipating the November release as you are.

Going from Megane Trophy to GT4 seems most obvious to me.

because my edit didnt appear on the post but the answer is still nope
and its not gt as im sick of gt racing they only ever race gt3
however i will tell you now it was formula rookie (formula ford) part of the reason why there used in the demos is their fun and easy to drive but it also can provide good racing for all levels of talent
In response to the career jump i think the car/cars may still be devolping however that is still a template. for instrance their only one gt4 logo but there is actually 3 gt4 championships uk america and asia/middle east

A friend of mine showed me an interesting post from a dev, not going to go into detail incase its private but lets say the peasant console are performing better in some aspects than the PC version

it doesn't surprise me at all optimising for a a unversal fixed sytem is a lot easier than optimising for pc components
