Project CARS GTP Wishlist

I don't know whether or not the majority thinks this is a good idea, but Grid Autosport will have a cockpit view that doesn't show the steering wheel in addition to the normal one. I think it is brilliant. Seeing two steering wheels is the main reason I don't use cockpit view in games, and I'm really looking forward to that. It's so simple yet not widely implemented. So whoever here is involved with the PCARS WMD, can you suggest this? It would be greatly appreciated. I don't know how much work would be involved in creating a totally new view for every car, but I know it would greatly improve my experience at least, but I don't know if others think that it's worth the trouble.

Most good sim racers have this option.
Kaz probably doesn't want it in Gran Turismo cos it's not 'real' or something. (Someone tell Kaz it's a game!)

Already an option.

Seriously?

Grid Autosport is honestly the first game I've seen to have it.

You're right in saying not many console games have the option (I think Race 07 had the option, not sure), but it's a stalwart option in PC games. You have to remember that the PC is the lead platform in this game, so the options (gameplay, online and driving) as well as assets are going to be as good as a PC game, instead of being a console game that is ported to PC.

I'd like (but won't expect):

Super Touring:
2014 Audi A5 DTM
2014 Nissan GT-R R35 Super GT GT500

Group A:
Volvo 240 Turbo Group A
Nissan R31 Skyline GTS-R Group A

GT1:
Maserati MC12 GT1
Lamborghini Murcielago SV.R
Chevrolet Corvette C6.R
Matech/Ford GT GT1
Saleen S7.R
Nissan GT-R GT1
Aston Martin DBR9

FIA GT3:
Lexus RC-F GT3
Callaway Corvette Z06.R
BMW/Alpina B6 GT3
Aston Martin V12 Vantage GT3
Ferrari 458 Italia GT3
Lamborghini LP600 FL2 GT3
Chevrolet Camaro GT3
Nissan/NISMO GT-R GT3
SRT Viper GT3-R
Morgan Aero 8 GT
Maserati GranTurismo MC GT3
Matech/Ford GT GT3
(I can only dream, can't I?)

GT4 SS:
KTM X-bow R
Donkervoort D8GT
Lotus 2-Eleven GT4

GT4:
Aston Martin Vantage GT4
Maserati GranTurismo MC
Nissan 370Z
Lotus Evora

LMP2:
Morgan-Pescarolo 01
Radical SR9

It's no secret I'm excited for the amount of GT3 cars already in this game, but I'm greedily desiring the list to grow even more.

Love your list. Why did you pick the Audi only for the 2014 DTM, though?

I assume that including the entire fields of DTM and Super GT cars would most likely require the full series license.

So my only desire is for at least one car from each series so I can see how they race together, and I picked two that would be the most likely to be included and the ones I wanted to see the most. I'd like to see older DTM and Super GT cars, of course, but I don't see how the two older specs could race as evenly as the modern cars could since their only difference now is the power unit.

Well this thread turned into a car wishlist I see. I try something different. I would love to see some driving missions like in GT. I loved the SLS AMG driving school on the Nordschleife in GT5, it was an awesome experience. Or I very liked the driving school in GTR2. Helps you very much with tracks you are new to.

Well, the first expansion DLC packages will most probably be either the historic or the oval stuff. Of which I clearly prefer the historics, for the Solitude alone (even though Rouen is awesome too and I refuse to give up hope for Montjuic or Charade... based on no facts at all though, only hope).

From the main thread:

I'd really like to see more ordinary sports cars and some more classics.

Mazda RX-8, RX-7
Honda S2000, NSX Type R, Civic Type R
60's Classic Sports Car Pack - Aston Martin DB5, 911, Ferrari 250 GTO, BMW E9, Toyota 2000GT
70's Classic Sports Car Pack - Datsun 240Z, Countach, Pantera, Carrera RS, Ferrari Daytona, Triumph TR-7 etc.
Classic Muscle Pack - Superbird, Challenger, Javelin, Torino, Barracuda etc.

For tracks I'd also like to see more classics, older tracks without chicanes or safety precautions of any kind or at least without chicanes that aren't part of the original track design.
From the 60's and 70's - Monaco, Zandvoort, Mosport, Laguna Seca, Watkins Glen, Kyalami, Estoril etc.

So the Ovals and the classic tracks will be DLC?

Doesn't mean paid for DLC though... We're not sure, unfortunately it will be a case of wait and see, sorry.

Hey guys, its my first post on here, I'm a Xbox guy, but the attention to PCARS on this site is that like none other. Hence why I created my account just for this section of the GT Planet forum. So hello!

I do have a concern though, and its only a small one. I know the game is WIP. But am I the only one who things that after the sun sets, instead of going quickly to night with stars and everything. Things should be gloomy/the atmosphere should be a dark depressing blue shade? Sort of like real life? haha thats just me, what do you guys think?

A bit like this in a way

@TheMinority -- Welcome! 👍 No matter that you're an Xbox guy, we're much more than just a Gran Turismo website. You should have a look at our other forum sections too. :)

There appears to be twilight in PCARS from what I've seen:

Even the lighting/shading on the clouds changes.

Oh hey would you look at that, guess I havent noticed it as much. Thanks for the welcome by the way! looking forward to getting to know you all in the coming months (no homo)

I seem to remember it being suggested in one of the track development discussions, but nothing appeared to come of it. Given the budget the devs had I think it was too costly for them. Just OOI, how much would it cost per square mile?
