Project CARS Revolution is "200% Better Already" Than Project CARS 2

Sorry but SMS already made this kind of speech for Project Cars 2.
Revolution name is already known.
Waiting for real gameplay in gamepad and wheel, and appreciate real beta access to improve my opinion.

(still waiting free update for driver_swap, bettest gameplay and senstation in gamepad (no grip sensation in Pcars2 with gamepad), etc.)

By the way,i wonder how the studio is going to be managed when some of the devs will be working on the MadBox Console
 
I just hope they fill out the lower categories. Having all the GTE and most of the GT3 cars is great, GT4 and TC feel lacking in PC2.

Also, more tacks from Asia, Australia/New Zealand and the Americas would be nice.
I can definitely agree on this. There's a lot of recent cars that can definitely help in boosting TCR and GT4. Some of which even come from brands with a lot of cars already such as Audi in TCR and Mercedes and Ford for GT4. TCR highlights a few manufacturers that have been yet to be as explored as other games like Honda with cars in Super GT and TCR as well as classics like F1 and Super Touring.

I'd say the same for other classes in game like LMP2 and the lower reaches of Open Wheel racing. (Formula 3) I'd much prefer them to add cars like the current F4 cars and F3 cars which could be the Tatuus T-318 used in FR Eurocup and W Series or the old Dallara F318.

Tracks around the world I can also agree on. There are also some big tracks in Europe that aren't in the game like Paul Ricard and Zandvoort. Misano has a few series as well so does the Hungaroring.

Elsewhere in the world is a definite with big, well-known tracks in Asia missing like Sepang, Shanghai, Bahrain. I'm happy with Japan but would love to see that further expanded with places like Motegi.

South America is completely untouched though there's a chance that the Automoblista link could help with this.

Ovals in America are a big thing with only 3 ovals with 2 of them being Superspeedways and no short tracks like Iowa or Gateway. As well as Iowa and Gateway, I'd recommend Pocono, Bristol, Charlotte, Dover, Homestead-Miami and Kansas.

Not to ignore the American Road Courses like Mid Ohio, Sebring and Lime Rock Park to mention a few.
 
Not buying it this time. Wont be picking this one up unless they fix the issues from PC2, Which is unlikely as that game was nearly unplayable. They did this song and dance about it being "so much better" before. Will wait and see but i dont see this being any different.

For your information, it has to do with the fact that it kicks me out of ANY lobby within the first few minutes of joining, and before you have some defensive comment about "look at your internet speed, because it's you," my internet speed is 40 down, 20 up. That's faster than it used to be, and I STILL get disconnected within minutes of joining, in any lobby hosted by whoever.
I get disconnected all the time and I play every night. I don’t even play if the safety rating or points are on, lost 100+points in one night getting disconnected. My internet 230 down and 25 up and my PS4 is hard wired. I feel your pain.

My multiplayer experience on PC has been rock solid.
In fact, more solid than iRacing which is widely thought of as the iron coded network king.
 
Just like with project cars 2 there not gonna make the wait for this game easy are they? :(

Here is hoping that its on sony ps5 reveal stage whenever that is.

If the game is to be released on multiple platform,me think it would be great for SMS to continue and support players on PS4...

Please dont force poeple to upgrade to PS5....

They would be smart to allow people to play on PS4 with lower graphics and resolution than if you were on PS5 or PC....


What you all think.... That would also mean more sell...(at least initially...)


Edit: was going to get pC2 but me think I will wait for pC3 (only if it will be also on PS4)
 
It's hardly BS, the problem is yours.
I play online all the time with many other people and I've never seen or heard about any problems.
You can ask literally anyone that I league race with, or you can keep ignorantly defending your flawed game to death. I've only EVER had these problems consistently on PC2. No other racing game I've played on PS4 has a disconnection problem.

It is, indeed, that bad on console.

And whoever told you iRacing had the best netcode is a numpty lol, I love iRacing but holy cow the netcode needs work.

In this context, based on what Ian said on GTP at the time, I don't believe he is referring to the driving experience; the sandbox. A good sandbox is fun enough, but a sandbox on its own isn't fun for very long. At least not for everyone.

I look forward to seeing what SMS comes up with to imbue some life into the current white-bread-PC-sim-style experience. :)

I have not had any noteworthy issues on my base PS4 (Slim), connected by ethernet into a crappy modem providing an alleged 11.7/0.7 Mbps. I'm not online often, for the record, but I have never seen anything to suggest the game could give me recurring connectivity problems.

If the game is to be released on multiple platform,me think it would be great for SMS to continue and support players on PS4...
In terms of the playerbase I think it would be preferable for everyone if they could release it for both PS4 and PS5 (especially with backwards compatibility/crossplay), but they already had a hard enough time squeezing PCARS2 onto PS4/XBone.

Whatever the reason -- because the consoles are "weak" or because SMS didn't prioritize things better, I don't know -- I don't expect it to happen and I'm not sure SMS could do the idea justice. It would more likely turn out like Forza Horizon 2 for XB360 did.

Na, not at all. I play twice a week every week in my championships and rarely have a problem. When there is it's usually PSN playing up. And unlike the PC version on console PC2 doesn't have servers (as such) it uses peer to peer so it relies mainly on peoples connection to each other.

In fact I've just finished playing recently. 13 in the room, rock solid.

The Madbox console seems to be on hold following 2 major investors pulling out. But I am curious which devs do you think are working on the MadBox? The guys who model the cars? The track modellers? The car physics guys? The sound guys? The AI guy?

If I was intending to produce a console I would recruit specialist people with console or at least hardware experience. Maybe Ian will do the same.

As much as I wanted to love PC1, it was just not enjoyable, because of the controls. I always felt like wrestling with the car, instead of driving it. It got better with one of the community settings, but the hassle with PC1 made me not purchase PC2.
 
@IanBell is it possible to consider a game without being able to adjust the feedback force. We are talking about simulation, and at the same time, everyone is having fun reducing the forces. When I buy a vehicle, I do not ask the mechanic to reduce the strength of my steering wheel. Having the same thing, makes everyone equal.

Mad Box isn't SMS and SMS isn't Mad Box. Different companies and different concepts entirely. When Google announced that the 'The future of gaming isn't in a box' we lost investors in the concept. What did we call our console?... I still think it can succeed but I'm excessively optimistic. Regardless, we'll see how things progress. Between us, I needed close to a billion to make this something tangible and competitive. I don't have that now with two of the major investors pulling out. In short, Stadia is a game changer. Concepts are all being shifted following this...

I would say not when the hardware varies so substantially. The forces are excessive for one piece of kit, inadequate for others at defaults. It's very very difficult to have every disparate piece of hardware 'give you the feeling you want' without 'abstracting' the experience. And yes, that's what's happening in most games. This is even before we get into the nuances of the FFB...

First post and that's what you go with. Don't be a clown. There's different wheels that exist all having different levels of gain on the feedback. One wheel could be like driving a semi without power steering and the next might be very weak. This is nothing like buy ONE car from a dealership and everybodies experience is the same.

Hi @Slawek_9. What's been said though, we all have different hardware and I suppose like different a feel to the wheel. Me liking a lighter wheel doesn't necessarily make me quicker than someone who likes it heavier.
 
Valid point here. We've never ever nailed controller input properly. We have now. The guys we got onboard from Evolution studios/Codemasters have been instrumental in getting this area nailed. Nailed to perfection in my pessimistic opinion :)

For me you guys more or less nailed the pad controls in PC2, though I'd turn down the speed sensitivity a bit overall personally. I have to say I'm a little concerned that it will move too far away from what I enjoy so much at the moment. A 'just like PC2' option might be worth doing...
