Project INITIAL D: ANOTHER STAGE​

I am attempting to do a proper remake of the popular Initial D Battle Stage anime, using Gran Turismo 4.

It may take shape into a general D1-style drift race battle, if the idea and demo vid are well-received.

I have a need for up to 5 people who are equipped with Xlink and have an interest in drifting. Full credit will be given to those who assist me in the making of this masterpiece.

Please leave your Xtag and your AIM\MSN name if possible.​

I mean, most people who drift in GT4 heard of it somehow from initial D.

Someone DID. ToyotaDrifter. But his version was a little rough around the edges and needed to be polished off a little.
 
Unfortunately I don't have Xlink and my drifting skills sucks. Good luck with the project, should be pretty cool.
 
Just an idea, but maybe you guys can name it Initial D Battle Stage 2, and recreate the races after where the Battle Stage left off.
 
time for a slam mr. trips we at phantom D have been doing the I.D. episodes for quite some time from gt 3 - 4 to try and hijack something we pioneered is rather rude and stupid imho and i think that we have done a great job in recreating the episodes if u knew we were making them why not ask us if u can join in on the creation insteas of being an ass amking ur own thread about something that group of people have been working on for a few years

by no ping.. do u mean it just says "Estabilishing"? Because if thats the case, there is something wrong with your setup. Without a ping its not possible to play a game.

Thats funny, either that TD is always busy and has a life or that Trips is going to take some of the clips including the between the movie and make a really huge video with all the battles

Why do they have to join your team? Did you have a patent on drifting in GT or something? I think it's stupid to claim that only you can do it and other people can't. I work with fansubing groups before, and I hate people claiming rights to sub a series (or remake a series in this case).

haha, intial D, thats funny, why dont you just have people post of pictures of them drifting around cones in license tests and call it GT-X, rotflol. Or you could just be a man and stop living of the name of Initial D and just call it "Drift Battle" or something and just show battles between different cars. Now there's something I could be up for, hehe. If it was that and not this Initial D BS I'd be in for sure. I refuse to degrade myself by being part in anything that says "Initial D" anywhere on it........

I'd do this but the beating I received over doing this but with a lil grip racing thrown in has made me scared to do anything of the sort unless I have Ol' Takumi Fujiwara covering my ass. Thus, I"m not going to ask anybody about drift racing because drifting is NOT FOR RACING! IT'S FOR FUN! SERIOUS BUSINESS! :nervous: :dunce:

Wish I could but TD is scared to talk to me or something...it would save a lot of stress.
