Well... it seems that that Panoz LMP1 has been in quite a few games but not in any I've played (that I can remember). Think that covers it. 🙃

The car list is slowly filling out. I think that's 17 confirmed now with around 8 others seen but not officially announced.

Yeah, think I remember reading sometime, somewhere, after Don Panoz died, there were some disagreements about who owned what. Could be my sketchy memory, though. Hopefully it's settled enough we start seeing some of their work because Panoz had some awesome cars.
I think I read that somewhere as well. After a quick search it seems that Don's son Dan took control after Don's death and eventually sold the Panoz Motorsports Group to NASCAR in 2012. this is according to wikipedia so take from it what you will

@IfAndOr it may be of no surprise to you that back in 2001 (or was it 2002 ... either way I'm too old to remember :irked:) I was already doing full Le Mans 24 hour races. And the Panoz was my favourite car (the sound alone made it more interesting to use). Here's a 20 something year old save (the game allowed you to save while pitting) from that "event".

The real life counterpart of the specific Panoz in use in this old save was this one. #10 Panoz from the Den Bla Avis Team (drivers were John Nielsen, Mauro Baldi and Klaus Graf) from the 2000 roster. I think they didn't finish the real race. Whatever the case, amazing car and beautiful, yet simple, livery.

It does look interesting. All I'll say is that for me there's already almost THE perfect GT-focused game in ACC out there, so this will have to do something a bit different or really offer something brilliant to make me get really excited about it. What was great about PCars 1&2 was the 'every type of motorsport' sandbox experience and this does look a bit narrower in scope so far. I'll follow it with interest, and I'm happy that it's out so soon too.

Also - The Aston DB9R is now officially confirmed.

It's getting around the time for an included track and car thread. There's quite a selection so far.

Just bumped into this:

Edit:
@Famine beat me to it, of course.

$335K for a Storm? What a steal. :P

The career mode sounds super interesting. You're not encouraged to win every race, but money will still be a factor so you can't fart around either. A lot of games have customization setting for their single players these days, so I wonder if there will be certain things you can toggle to make it a bit easier/harder in regards to these career elements.

Glad the finances isn't something meaningless for your career progress, i just hope there is no gts style unobtanium cars until grind for a year each though.
Looking forward to it, also hope it's less easy slidey like pc2.

I would bet if you select "Global Operation" as your starting point, nearly every car will likely be purchasable from the start & you'll just have to use your starting region, sponsorships, and race finishes to keep from quickly going under whilst trying to run something like the SC63.

Is there likely to be a beta test ?
This is probably the closest you'll find to them talking about one, from their Discord.
There is currently no private beta testing happening, because the game is not in beta. The current program is a limited access only for feedback on specific areas. We will eventually announce something more about this

Some info from their website about the four career starting budgets. It's all about at which step on the ladder you want begin at really.
Budgets To Suit Your Ambition

In Project Motor Racing, you begin by picking from 3 preset starting budgets to craft the narrative that you want from career mode.

Option 1: You can opt to start with around $75,000, which gives you some freedom to choose in which amateur or low-level car you begin your career in.

Option 2: If you want to jump right into GT3 (or other similar classes) in the middle of the ladder, an option exists to start with roughly $600,000 in the bank—enough for a car and to register for your first championship … just be sure to keep the fenders on it.

Option 3: For those who want to chase immediate legacy and glory, you can opt to start out with $2,000,000.

And then there’s a fourth option, the one where you run your historics program with an absurd amount of money to replicate the dentist-turned-amateur racer experience. You do you!

These starting budgets have been carefully determined to ensure there’s no outright surplus of cash. In other words, you will have just enough to get you off the ground and into your first championship at different points on the ladder.

There will probably also be a drive anywhere in anything option available outside of the career path. Tweak the AI, damage, aids, starting position etc.
