Farming Simulator '25 coming to Game Pass on August 1st, after releasing on 12th November. Would GIANTS do something similar for PMR?

Was where I discovered their earlier title and thought the wee man would enjoy it since he got excited just seeing me drive past a tractor in WRC9, although he prefers gamepad to the wheel now in it and mainly uses police car mods. Still likes to take the wheel while I reach the pedals in rally games though fortunately.

Are there options to remove rules? Just wondering. There's not many more annoying things than getting an invalid lap after a off-track mistake even when you slowed down to avoid cutting.

They did specifically say it wouldn’t be on Gamepass or PS Plus. May turn up later on but wouldn’t expect it anytime near launch.

Gotta say, I love their faux liveries.

That GT500 list. F1? 911 GT2? Diablo? Seems like it'll go hand in hand with the GTO class. Unless it's retro R34, Supra, NSX, Viper, etc.

I'm not super hyped, but I'm getting there.

Even more than before, that makes me think it’s best to wait for the “complete” edition. It’s sounding like November is early access disguised as 1.0.

I’ll add the classes and Le Mans to the track/car lists.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see but having a dlc road map doesn’t necessarily mean that the game will be unfinished on release

Agreed. Virtually every game does this. Do I love it? No. But it's just the way games are made. And agreed on it not meaning it's unfinished. I think it's safe to say the main thing we're concerned with is if it handles well, does it have a good tire model, etc. If that's good, then people will get the DLC. I'm just stoked it's releasing on console alongside PC

Yeah I'm really not a fan of this business model, especially for a game with a big focus on GT/sports car racing to stick the most iconic circuit behind a paywall.

The majority of games nowadays are released rather "barebones" From a business perspective, it makes sense. It also keeps players engaged for longer because they have something to look forward to in the future rather than giving everything at once. To be fair, if I was a developer, I'd do the same.
Maximize profit as much as possible.

Some more gameplay from the FarmCon demo

Gotta say, the use of the Lamborghini V10 sound effects from NFS Shift 1 & 2 is a little bit distracting, honestly.

Like, it's not a bad sound at all, and I assume it's a placeholder since the game is still in production, but it's definitely hard to ignore. The game itself is still looking pretty good at the moment.

Not being able to license Silverstone isn't a good sign for me. Maybe PC 2 will always be the pinnacle of track lists on console. Although they couldn't get Suzuka for that. 🤔

If it is the same as silverstone just different name then I don’t see a problem.
Agreed, no issue for me here, if it's a decent recreation, and I see no reason why it wouldn't be, albeit with some obvious things like the Wing altered, then it's fine. rFactor did the same thing, I believe it was called Northampton in that tok and was totally fine.

They called Suzuka --> Kansai in AMS2 and we have all of the Suzukas including a historic layout. East and West layouts.
That's a win. Who cares if it doesn't say Suzuka on the track?

I'm going by PC 2, which had a fake Suzuka (which I actually preferred) that wasn't the same track, just without the name.
I'm not even a huge fan of Silverstone, just worried this might reflect the budget available for tracks.

Suzuka and Silverstone are notorious for being quite expensive to license.

for every Silverstone and Suzuka we don’t have, we get a Kyalami and Limerock
I don't have Kyalami experience (I should try it in ACC I guess) but love Lime Rock (played it in Forza). Plus PMR will have CTMP. I tried it in Ride 4, plus seen IMSA races there. Big thumbs up for it. At this point I'm gonna preorder PMR for the PS5. I wasn't gonna do it but the extra 30 bucks for the year 1 DLC is OK in my book.

Yeah, can’t recall experiencing MoSport. It’ll be like me first racing on VIR in Forza. Just a treat to race on tracks I’ve only seen on SpeedVision/Speed Channel. That preorder does look enticing. Might pull the trigger.

V8 Power Pack?

Was there a timeperiod where GT1s, GT2s and GT3s mostly ran on V8? Or is it a NASCAR-like DLC?

The Japanese GT500's the pack that's an interesting eye. I wonder how PMR's devs would balance out the most iconic GT500s with some lesser known ones like the Nomad Diablo GT500 and the latest ones.

I don't know. I plan on having 500+ tracks if we're just going to add them in. I went from almost 2000 in AC and am now down to somewhere around 750 after doing a cleaning. Not sure what their level of track modding is going to entail but I'm sure there'll be no shortage.
