What's wrong with what we're seeing here?
When he talks about PCars 1+2 being hit or miss in some cases, making him not understand the world or what the physics want from him, then says PMR is a bit the same. That some cars are great but others aren't, the oversteer being too exaggerated, describing it as an overall unsatisfying driving experience. Older cars sound impossible to drive even when just cruising, too extreme, too exaggerated he feels. Totally divided on cars, some really awesome, or others a real disaster.

Hypercars sound slippery (except for the AI ones, who are then slow on straights), maybe they are though; on console I've only tested them in FM23 but really liked them there finding them a lot easier than expected - could put some players off if the cover car doesn't feel how we'd expect?

If the driver testing program sorts them all out that'll be fine, it just seems too close to release to me to not be at that stage for this level of preview videos. If the wider release reviews have to spend this day or two he suggests to get the good cars working and avoid the others, I don't see regular reviews from buyers going too well, possibly discouraging sales or getting newer racers involved.

Having watched FM23 release unfinished and suffer badly, I'm concerned.

Man the AI in this video is eerily similar to the early days of FM23 lol. Sheesh

A developer came into the discord chat the other day and confirmed that the AI weaving and inconsistencies had been fixed before the expo even finished in their live dev build version. Obviously I'd like to see some updated AI racing but they are pretty on top of it it seems.

What mods can we expect in the game? AC-type or something simpler like simple tracks and the occasional car.

Hopefully a mix of stuff, ultimately it depends on what people and modders make for the game. Tracks, skins, events etc could all be expected. There's an official licensed mod coming around launch which will be the Praga Bohemia car.

AI in this build isn't what you'd call intelligent... Track looks nice though!

What worries me more than ai even is when braking for ex, at around 4mins mark and ending in the back of an ai, there seemed to be zero feel of weight transfer, mass, inertia, which reminds of their previous sim..
And on/off feel of skidding on braking, with that sound.

About dlcs, nice to see gtlegends stuff, loved that game and cars. Hope it will be some same ones.

I don't know the qualifications of this guy but his details on interacting with the developers and their willingness to take notes and have open dialogue with him is promising.

I'm buying the most expensive version of this game the second I'm able to and I don't need anybody's reviews to do it. Even if it doesn't end up being as good as I think, I want to support the efforts.

Project Cars 2 spoiling us with tracks (and playing FM to death since launch) has tempered my excitement somewhat. (Gonna miss Willow Springs & Laguna Seca!?) Happy with Donington but was hoping for some British classics like the Mini & E-Type to run there, hopefully they will come at some point.

Good amount of settings, pCars 2 had snow didn't it? On certain locations at least, so there's a sort of precedent from the team there.
I don't know, I still haven't played it :(
One day I'll get around to it.

PC3 did, I played that one.

I've played more PC3 than 2, for al it's flaws. PC2 is just frustrating in that some cars feel great on a pad and some feel terrible.

Vid for the above look at the weather settings and other things like HUD adjustments. If I'm understanding it correctly you don't directly pick dry/fog/rain etc, it's determined by the season.

The pitstop area looks pretty detailed at around 7mins, looks like nurburgring i think, nice reflections on glass etc.

Cool you can adjust mirrors, if you can see them.

He seemed to wonder why he lost control so fast a few times. And that's a gt3 car, the class that most say is closest to realistic in this.
He also seemed to have high aids settings with tc and abs high.
You can still choose general weather setting un addition to season, looks like.

I won't be at peace until I see a video with the hood camera and the virtual mirror.
I already posted this once (and you clicked “like” on it), but here it is again:

It's a bit cropped but you can see the virtual mirror in the top right corner. As they switch between the views it remains in place.
