Are people trusting Ian this time??!

Trusting the studio more than anything. Haven't seen anything personally to suggest this won't be what it says it is.

It's also charting currently in the top 15 best selling racing games on Playstation Store, it's also the only game in that top 15 that hasn't released yet. So preorders must be pretty strong.

What makes you say that?
This Japanese who had heavy time with wheel, then I can only imagine what will be with gamepad.

Maybe I'm wrong, buz I'm almost sure that we won't controller responsible like in GT7, GRID Legends, Motorfest or even AC Competizione....

I have it wish listed for Series X, but I have been skeptical. But I keep researching. I like most of what I see, but I felt that way before with some of Ian's work.

It's difficult to say as we haven't really seen any extended controller footage or had anyone with extensive controller usage give opinion. There's a dev on the Discord who has said a few times it's currently his favourite racing experience on controller, which I know is tough to take at face value as Devs are going to bang their own drum to a degree. But I've heard lots of positives for controller gameplay.

Time will tell of course. I do hope we see some more controller gameplay.

Well, this is encouraging in any case!

For sure. If you check out some of the sim expo stuff as well there's a few creators who did short bits with a controller. So hard to tell visually though.

PC2 felt great with the controller, and I don't think it's gotten any worse in PMR. In PC2, I had 1720 points playing on servers with quite a few people using wheels, and I never felt at a disadvantage. They need to find a balance in the simulation to satisfy both wheel and controller players.

I knew about Austin, and was honestly prepared to ignore it as just one bad apple because I really wanted to play this game (I'm a hypocrit, I boycotted Hogwarts Legacy because of Rowling but happily played Cyberpunk despite all the issues with CDPR). I didn't know that Ian Bell waves away any criticism of Austin's comments and defends the far-right. I'm not prepared to knowingly support people like that anymore. I'm out.

Mods, please give someone else permission to edit the car/track thread opening post so people will still have the correct info, as I'm not updating it anymore.

EDIT - deleted the links, the info about Austin Ogonoski (the game designer) and Ian Bell's comments are easy to find if people care enough to look.

Well I went and read the articles and found out Ogonoski is Canadian.

All of his vitriol is the antithesis to what our entire country is supposed to be about. So… screw Ian Bell for giving this clown a job, screw Ogonoski for everything and I’m definitely withdrawing my support from the game. Maybe I’ll pick it up in a year at a used game shop if it ends up there somehow, but my money won’t be going direct to PMR anytime soon.

Nazis have just gotten way too comfortable being open with their views the past year due to all the democratic backsliding going on worldwide and I won’t be part of supporting that even by a stray and unknowing cent.

Fortunately the folks over at Reiza are coming out with a perfectly timed DLC for AMS2 that’s bringing a bunch of mid-00s GT content, so that’ll be where I’m sending my PMR money for sure.

Also, human rights isn’t a matter of politics, it’s something that’s not up for debate, period. Thanks.

I'm confused. Is this a hint we're getting the DeLorean, or did you mean to post in the Indiana Jones thread?

No need to joke about it pal. If you want to go buy the game made by the developer who wants groups of people he doesn’t like cleansed from the earth and his boss who’s cool with allowing that opinion, you go right ahead. Nobody’s stopping you.

No need to make ridiculous comparisons to the Nazis either. I actually find it insulting to the memory of their many victims. If you must, at least put Neo-Nazi, if that's what you believe. But I'll leave it there, out of respect for the thread and forum.

If it quacks like a duck and walks like a duck…

But I’ll leave it at that too. Hopefully people have seen the evidence and can come to their own conclusions about this development studio and its conduct.

I will never let someone’s political belief’s stop me from buying anything, but if that’s your stance then more power to you, I’m guessing you won’t be posting in here anymore and just leave us guys and gals who are really looking forward to this title 👍🏼.
I’m pretty sure you can vent your frustration in the appropriate section and leave the politics out of this one.

The appropriate section got nuked , but I agree - let's all move on. It's only a silly little game after all, not worth getting worked up about. I won't be buying it but I'm still interested how it turns out, so I'll stick around if that's all right with you.

How about not hiring such an idiot in the first place?
Driving around in a livery that says "Hitler did nothing wrong" is not a political belief.
It's not like we are talking about someone's political views about income tax should be 3% less or subsidies for farmers should be higher.
How about posting it in a current events type thread and leave this one alone for the actual game ?

"with Ian Bell answering by saying, "you're not allowed to be right wing these days," with Ian continuing on by saying "...the far-left have become more Nazi than the far-right."

Any examples? Can't think of one that comes close.

I'll maybe buy it and return after reviewing if it's unfinished, find a way to steal it, or wait till it's on eBay or free on GamePass none the less, some folk are better at cars than politics.

Wouldn't mind hearing a psychoanalysis of Ian and Austin from some of Ian's professors though, does he have clients as a phycologistm wonder what their opinions would be?

I'll maybe just buy it full price and make mods, but not with underage porn aka child rape websites like Austin did, but free adverts for causes the left wing spend their lives promoting.

2005 GT1 Class

Aston Martin DBR9 GT1
Corvette C5.R
Dodge Viper GTS-R
Maserati MC12 GT1
I'm looking forward to comparing their version of the 2005 class with this game's interpretation. The MC12 is a big miss if it's not in this one. Really wish I could play AMS2 but I don't do Windows and I'm too old to learn Linux.
